Hi guys (and girls),
just wondering if anyone knew what a tufenk (missile weapon) did for the arabian tomb raiders tomb raiders in TC20, i can't find the stats for it anywhere.
i believe it to be some sort of flintlock musket, but the missile weapons list already includes a handgun, and if it was just another name for blunderbuss why didn't they have it in brackets like the scimitar and jambiya.
if anyone could answer this i would be really grateful ......i hope its cool.

Tufenk: this is a blowpipe that projects Greek fire about 10 feet causing burning damage.
Max Range: 8"; Strength: 1; Special Rules: may fire every other turn, fire (If you hit roll a d6, on a
4+ your opponent is set on fire. They must roll d6 each recovery phase, on a 4+ they put
themselves out or suffer a S4 hit and can only move each turn they are on fire. Allies may try to
put them out. They must be in base to base contact and need to roll a 4+. [as fire arrow rules in
TC #7] Vs mummies they are Strength 3 and on a 2+ the mummy catches fire)

All the rules of the original settibg xou can find here:

http://grafixgibs.tripod.com/Khemri/equipment.htm

Also the rules for water and for finding trading posts are there and are missing in the Tc rule set.

Hi.

Please note that the rules cited previously on this thread are incorrect;
Tufenk is Strength 2 (not 1)

The correct details for Tufenk appeared in Town Cryer 17. I just double-checked before posting this as didn't wanna second guess myself, so for anyone who cares it was published on page 11.

Had a look this up because the item can be bought from a Merchant and I produced an article referring to the item! For further clarification on how to buy the item from a Merchant in campaigns I suggest checking out this resource: Swords of the Empire
