Bits Box UK and Horde O' Bits are the ones I use most. Both quite well stocked but I do keep checking them quite often if they are missing something. Bits Box also has an email newsletter they send every time they restock.

40k Orks are ace for Fantasy conversions! (But I'll admit not much else from 40k is very useful for Fantasy or Mordheim players...)

You need to introduce them to Mordheim!!!

I converted 2 Necromunda players at the LA bunker to play Mordheim, started with just 2 people playing Mordheim and now we're a group of 12 people playing a 15 week campaign!

I started this project in June 2011, so it's only taken a zoggin' year to get it painted!!!

PRETTY COOL! The tattoos on the Beasty & Rider are exceptional freehand work...love the Kiss eye make up. I still think setting off the cannon will destory the Beasty's rib cage, but Fantasy is all about a suspension of disbelief...I suppose. Congratulations on finishing a long out standing project...ain't the sense of relief wonderful?

The tattoos were very much a last-minute addition, so pleased I did though!

I had base-coated, washed and dry-brushed the Wyvern's skin in August last year. At the time I wasn't happy with the finish and it sort of ground to a halt while I tried to decide what to do with it. In the end I grew to like the colour again and when I added the green wash to it's under-side on Saturday morning it spurred me on to get the rest of it done. It took all day Saturday and a few hours today to get the whole of the rest of the model done.

In game terms it represents the Impact Hits of the Armour of Gork. I had planned originally to have half a dozen goblin crew crawling all over the back of the Wyvern ("Temeraire" style!) but I couldn't get the models to look right, so I left them off. It's not likely Salty would ever reload the gun in a battle, so it would be a one-shot deal I think - grapeshot as he swoops in for an attack! (What you can't see is that is a flintlock cannon and he's holding a lanyard... )

I love the fact that you've made a centre-piece model into exactly that.
So much detail to take in...so little time.

With regards to the cannon...I'm sure if the wyvern can withstand Ogbad kicking him in the neck almost constantly, it can withstand a cannon shot. Also once it's been fired just swoop low over the battlefield and smash it into people...

You are slowly making me interested in orcs...Must... resist... greenskins... allure...

Lovely model! Very good conversions, and your usual sparkling painting style. If I were playing against you, I would leave it alone on the battlefield, just to be able to take more pics of it in action...

Interesting the name "Chama". That means "flame" in Portuguese, but it can also relate to the verb "to call". Funny you chose that for the squig charmer.

This year has been a bit of a non-starter for Mordheim. The Luncheim era ended in February and the terrain was divided up between the group. The new edition of 40K distracted those with any gaming time remaining. Then new jobs, new families and other real-life nonsense got in the way of the important business of Mordheim.

Another gaming group (based around a core of the guys from Golem Painting Studio who were working from in the Luncheim room for several months) has started up on the far side of town in their new studio space, not handy for lunchtimes for me, Godfather Viktor or Zelophahad but evening games are a possibility.

But Viktor has suggested there may be the possibility of some lunchtime Mordheim in the new year (in his office maybe?) so all hope is not lost. I have massive cravings for some piratey skirmish action so I'll have to get something sorted soon!
