Howdy everyone. I got sent here by a buddy of mine when I started playing Mordheim. I'm a long time WHFB player (Dwarfs). And I play, unsurprisingly, a dwarf warband. Anyway, I'm posting here cause I had a question. Should I post it here or in some other place? Also, nice to meet y'all.

Thanks. Well here's the deal, I was reading the Mordheim book and I was reading about the Dramatis Personae, and I noticed under Johann the Knife's entry it mentions that he is addicted to Crimson Shade (p.154). Under the entry for Crimson Shade it says the side effects are "on the roll of 2-3, the model becomes addicted and you must try to buy him a new batch of Crimson Shade before every battle from now on." (p.52)
So does that mean you need to give Johann some Crimson Shade every battle?

No, you can't buy additional equipment for hired swords or Dramatis Personae. He is 70 g.c. to hire, and 30 for upkeep. Presumably he buys his own Crimson Shade from that money. He probably gets a bulk discount...
