RikLok´s warbands (WIP)

Hi! Here are my orks warband!

They’re still unpainted, but I hope this will change soon. All are Rackham miniatures, but not the boss and the Squigs (they are gw brand)

The boss and the shaman:


The boss is made with Snikrot’s body (WH40K) and the Grimgor’s head. He has bretonian bits: a helmet and a questing knight chapel (in the back), and a good luck snotling!

At firts I thought about taking the goblins out their horns, but finally I dindn´t change them

I LOVE Rackham's Orcs...among other Rackham stuff. You've got some GREAT pieces there; it will be a pleasure to follow their journey to fully painted WONDERS.

I had the same plan as well, but now they are just laying somewhere

I started to paint my orks warband few days ago. I started with the goblins because I didn´t know of what colours could I paint the orks.

The first miniature I painted was the fanatic, and I got a great result using the dopping technique, so I go on painting more motivated.



Then I painted the squigs, the nice squigs, my girlfriend loves them, and I also painted the shepherds.





I suppose you have noticed that I used plastic goblin heads of WH instead of Rackham ones. I decided this because I didn´t like the horns and they seemed to me too big. Besides, I didn´t have enough heads (I only have three different models and there are six goblins in my warband)

And I already have a troll! I have to semble it, but I don´t think I will paint it yet, it costs a too many Co.!

Uyyyy I haven´t updated for so many days... but I´ve got news!!

I´ve a problem when I paint minis: I get bored easily if I paint several similar minis...

That´s the reason why I have several bands started, and so I can switch from one to another and not gel mad with so much green!
I don´t want to mean that I don´t paint the orcs, only that I´ll paint them when I prefer them before the rest of the bands

Now I´ve resumed my possessed band, which was whitout painting (only conversioned)
This week I´ve just assembled and retouched the band to star to paint it:

You do have a talent for picking out some REALLY COOL minis & making them EVEN COOLER. The Beastmen are ESPECIALLY nice...the Crypt Ghouls look GREAT in their new role. The addition of the Rackham bits to your Magister is a clever idea. FINE WORK!

today i´ve painted the magister!



I don´t like the spirit of the base, it has been difficult to paint... at first i wanted to paint in purple, but finally it has been scorpion green.

tomorrow i´ll continue!

Brethren incoming...

EXCELLENT STUFF! The Magister turned out GREAT, The spirit thingy doesn't look bad at all in green...matches up nicely with the green flames. The Beastmen are EXCEPTIONAL, beyond the normal feral aspect, they have an innate EVILNESS about them. VERY WELL DONE!

That´s I wanted to achieve with the beastman, besides they don’t look like the usual goat-man.

This weekend I´ve painted three acolits and the two possessed! let´s see if you like them!

VERY FLASHY! I like your color choices. The Evil Chick on the left is REALLY SPECTACULAR! VERY WELL DONE!

All your figures are looking great, but IMO that magister is coolest of them all. The overall grim look and beautifully painted green flames makes it just ace.
Acolytes are also very cool and highlights on their cloaks are awesome.

Just not fair. *moans some more about his lack of painting skills*
Really nice job on everything, I think the acoltes are my favourite, they remind me of the Dark Elf assassin models or even the old excecutioners... (maybe they are DE models?) I have been out of touch with minitures for a while so if I'm being stupid please rant at me =). But they remind me of them not only for their purely evil ways, but also the fact that they look like they could cause some serious upset.

The colors of the possessed suck a little... we have bad relish, DeafNala xd. I think I’ll repaint them in the future.
(I`m not sure if relish is the apropiated word, I`m sorry)

the posessed came out quite bold! I like the goblins best of all though- be interested to see the horned ones when you get them painted.
