| Hey guys, thought I'd post my new black orc pirates for our upcoming Mordheim campaign. My Black Orc Captain (loosely based on Captain Ahab from Moby Dick)   2 Black Orc Mates  2 Young 'Uns  3 Orc Deckhands  2 Orc Shooters  1 Troll (with part of a mast for a weapon)  The Whole Gang  What do you think? The new troll kits are amazing, great fun to put together and I'm really looking forward to painting it. I've ordered these bases here to finish them. Cheers

| Nice work! It's funny you should mention Ahab - on an old Citadel Journal (many years back) there was a mini comic strip on the back that was about an orc pirate captain who was obsessed with hunting down "moby squig"!
Love the replacement heads, and the troll is really cool! Where did the mast components come from? |

I think I feel a conversion coming on, giant water squig ahoy!
The mast was made out of one of the trolls existing clubs with the spiky bits chopped off and extended with green stuff. The sail supports (booms?) are made from bits of chaos marauder standard, the sails from the new Skaven banners and the rope is from the Skaven Plague Censer. All tied together with green stuff.

They were sprayed last night and I'm working on the base coat as we speak.

| As a fellow ork collector, I must say:
BEST PIRATE ORCS EVER!!
Your choice of bits and conversions looks very brutal and impossibly big... wich is a good thing when you´re talking about Black orcs. Also, their brutal look blends perfectly with the new plastic troll, a hulking, cartoonish mini itself.
By the way: I don´t usually like orc arrer boyz too much... but your bows looks impressive with these hooks!
Looking forward to see them painted... |

| Finally got round to taking some pics of my Orcs. I've almost finished them now, they just need the odd touch up and a few details doing. Captain  Black Orc Mates  Young 'Uns  Deckhands  Shootas  And the Troll  My bases arrived from Australia yesterday so I've got to clean and spray them up. There won't be many more updates for a week or so as I'm getting married this week but I have a big project for the week after involving the Warhammer Fortess. Cheers The Fool. |
