Thank you for this topic, the point of ajusting criticals just gave me the idea how to balance clubs in my favorite house rules. While i try not to change to mutch i think i will go for simple crit rules (crit is double wound) and just nerf clubs by an "can not crit" rule.
So i wont change mutch of mechanics and keep the fluff of concussion.

Wouldn't a "no-crit" rule mean that no one would take them? I think that would be the case with our group.

Perhaps a -1 to crit rolls (meaning 1-3 = KD, 4-5 = stun, and 6 = OOA).

The "no crit" rule would say u cant achieve a critical wound with clubs. If u roll a 6 its just a normal hit causing a single wound without any special benefit.

This is ment to be a weapon special rule, so other weapons will still crit on a 6.

Again, I don't think I would ever take a club with this rule in effect.

Well, you could give clubs the following critical hit effect (from the mordheim rulebook).

Thrust. The blow lands with great force and the target is knocked down. Take armour saves as normal and see whether the model suffers a wound.

Still worse than 2 wounds but definitely not too weak imo. Considering the club is only 3gc and has concussion..
