SPEECHLESS...FOR ONCE!

As some of you may know I've been going through what our Chinese brethren might describe as "interesting times" & will have to relocate in the next week or so to DISTANT Texas. WELL...There's a BLIZZARD whirling around outside. SO I decided I needed to walk down to the Post Office...there IS the possibilty I may have been a Lemming in a former life or simply extremely stupid. AND LO, awaiting me was a Priority Envelope from our own Da Bank...inside was a cashiers check from my DEAR FRIENDS here at TBMF & the Death Squads Forum. I cried.

I will never fathom what I did to deserve the friendship of such a FINE group of people...all I can say is thank you; you are THE BEST!

Sometimes, one can feel as insignificant as an ant in this big big world. So small, that while our problems are as big as a grain of sand (especially considering the big world-wide scope) they seem as big as a mountain... so impossible to move. The cool thing about ants is that even without asking for help, other miserable and insignificant ants instinctively recognize the problem, and they all come to pitch in whatever little they can. If two are not enough, more come... and if four are not enough, then eight... sixteen... even hundreds. And so it is that the minuscule ant can indeed move a mountain!

We all have our problems and yet we all would like to resolve everyone's issues too. Unfortunately we can not. On the other hand, we are a community. You are always there for us, specially on TBMF, giving good advise and critique for our projects, as well as encouraging us to continue to enjoy the hobby. You have never asked for anything, so we read it as it was. Not charity, but friends letting a friend know you are not alone! We all put the little we could... and guess what? We did indeed gave that mountain a good shove!

All I can say is that I'm sorry I didn't pick up on the initial problem, due to myself being away...

As the others have posted, you are indeed a great inspirator to us all, and after all the help you have given all of us, this is the least we can do - and though I failed in the initial "thank you DeafNala" I side with the BeardedSnot, in helping you gain a foothold in the Texas-miniaturebranch!

@werekin: Of the many images Texas might conjure up, snow isn't one of them...although El Paso [in Western Texas on the Mexican border] did have a nasty little blizzard this year. I'm still out on Long Island about 60miles outside of New York City; we've had about 4' of snow so far this Winter...AND lovely as it is, I've HATED every inch of it.

@ the bearded snot: I LOVE exchanging packages...especially Internationally. We'll have to explore this when I've settle in.

@All My Fellow Forumites: while I'm not going to give the $s back, being a part of this Fellowship of Kindred Spirit has & hopefully will continue to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my strange old life. I fully intend to inflict my advice & words of less-than-wisdom along with the occasional TRULY mediocre photo upon you all until they pry the paint brush from my cold, dead fingers. You are the FINEST of Guys & Gals. Being part of this communitee is an honor.

I was truly amazed by all the individuals who jumped in, as many have noted you (Deafnala) have made a profound impact on many of us and even though I may never see most of you there are many that I consider friends and you Deafnala are my friend.

Well, you deserve the best from us forumites. You've always been most helpful and kind. Besides, my false idol Willy Kyrklund (Swedish author) has pointed out that the number one good deed and base of all morality simply is that it's good to help other persons.

Ditto to all that has been said on this thread,Deafnala you are a legend and one of the reasons i keep coming back and trawling this forum ( that and the fact that it is the best Mordheim forum out there) and i hope your move to sunny Texas goes well
