We in Denmark do not celebrate Thanks giving. Purely american.

However I like the concept of people stopping up for a minute, thanking for what they have recieved.

Be it good friends, good health, love...

Sometimes you should just stop up and say...thank you.

Where did it come from anyway? (what's the original thanks for?)
As I'm not at all familiar with this holiday ( I know the name, but that's about it....)

Around here we have a kickass holiday now! Very Happy Sinterklaas! - I won't bother explaining it, as it will sound racist if you're not embedded in our culture... but it's awesome, and a brilliant excuse to piss off your relatives and friends...

I believe the holiday is well documented by david sedaris.... takes a while, but it's good entertainment. (sinterklaas part starts at 4.25)

watch this stuff.

Part 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g17Pl7MFMco

Yes, this is how we celibrate our best holidays! Smile

There are two versions, yes two.

One was with the earlier Pilgrim (British Settlers) and the American Indians sharing food together.

The one one is with Spanish Settlers in Florida eatting with local American Indians.
