Rabu WIPs

I've never really converted models before so this is a first for me, both with just kit bashing and greenstuff so bare with me.

I'm currently working on my Witch Hunter warband for an upcoming longterm campaign and this is what i've got so far.
They are still very much WIP and will soon enter the green stuff stage of my attempt at converting.
The parts used are from my Bitz Box aswell as the Militia and new Archer box.

VERY COOL! I haven't gotten to see much of the new plastic stuff YET. The full skirted coat looks PERFECT for the Witch Hunters. The new heads ARE REALLY cool. Nice bit of kit bashing there. Keep up the GOOD WORK!

I've finished gluing together 4 Zealots aswell, why four? well i figured i'd never use more anyways seeing both Flagellants and Dogs are better choices. And they are based on the Militia box so there's nothing new really before i start with the greenstuff.

I should be getting the Flagellant box today by mail so i'll dive right into that as soon as possible, from what i understand it should be a great box aswell for conversion.

For a Warrior Priest, are there any cool way to convert one in plastic or should i just use the awesome empire warrior priest models in metal?

For a warrior-priest, you could get the Mordheim accessory sprue and use the book from it.

I will be gone over the weekend for a wedding and unhealty amounts of rum (yarr!)
So there won't be an update until next week where i probably will have done some of the GS work aswell as finish up my Milita (Zealots), Flagellants and my lazy use of goblin wolfrider wolfs for dogs. (What? They kinda look like german shepherds with the right colors)

@Rabu--There are all kinds of bits that can go into a plastic Warrior Priest. The Bretonnians have a monk type guy on one of their sprues, the flagellants come with some great books and scrolls and there are lots of hammers on the Hairy Head sprue that comes with the knights...


But you'd probably come out ahead just getting a metal one.

That model is pure "awesome". Very "Friar Tuck".

He comes with the Peasant Bowmen plastics, which is actually a pretty good set for Mordheim. I don't think he's very representative of a Sigmarite Warrior-Priest as he's far more priest than warrior, but for a warband that's already a little off the beaten path, he might be perfect.

Time for an update!

After seeing ImUrDentists Nuln Engineers i just had to start a warband for myself. And since i've allways been into black powder weapons in Mordheim i just couldn't resist.

The first model is my Gunnery Sergeant and leader of the warband.

I have no clue what to name him so maybe some ideas?

As a Fellow Black Powder Freak, I think that your latest creation is UBERCOOL. This Guy is THE archtypical Pistol Packin' Papa...Puritan. The flowing cloak adds nicely to the sense of motion. All in all a VERY intimidating mini; GREAT WORK!

that Nulnian has some serious attitude! Like Deaf said, the sense of motion is what makes the model great, can we get a view from the side?

Hey thanks guys, i was going for that bring-it-on attitute for him. So i'm glad you liked him! I've got my second mini done soon aswell, which will be my Instructor. Also have a guy in a ready-fire position allmost done carrying a hand-held mortar.

I'll post a side view first thing in the morning for you Dubstyles.

Name wise my suggestion would be Klaus von Kemper. He just looks like a Klaus to me. Kemperbad is just along the river from Nuln and is a major trade hub so it's not unlikely for him to be well off and packing such expensive kit. Maybe gunsmithing runs in the family and while not crafting the weapons, he lectures in the Nuln School of Gunnery?

Loving that name and fluff as to why he is what he is catferret!

Here's the side view of him as requested, he's also on a new base. I'll be using Microart bases for this warband.



I've also finished the Instructor, atleast i think he's finished.



It's windy out there

VERY NICE! The Instructor looks to be a rather dapper Fellow. I LOVE the repeater handgun, probably, because it resembles a minigun. About the only things I'd add would be some pouches for shot, loose cartridges, et al & a powder flask. When you get to it the Lads ARE going to paint up BEAUTIFULLY!

Nice use of the empire plastic kits! I especially like the running leader, very dinamic.

I'm pretty much finished putting the warband together now, there's only the small cannon crew left to build.

However this is a test model of a Pistolier, what do you guys think?

I tend toward more colorful minis; HOWEVER, this Guy looks REALLY GOOD; very much how I'd picture a Gunnery School Lad. WELL DONE!
