Haha I love this character! Do you have the rest of the "men in tights" too? Would be funny to do a bandit warband with those models!

Yeah i have the 3 of them. Maybe my next paint project will be the one with the barrel

Yeah i like it alot... and i finally had the balls to paint it

I like how you did the face, but the greens appear a bit flat... maybe a wash could fix this? or some highlighting? And yes, first thought was man in tights! awesome... the moustace really brings the guy out!

I CAN identify. Even after a LOT of years painting, there are STILL some minis I find intimidating. Also there are some that I stare at & ABSOLUTELY have NO IDEA what to do with the sucker.

Yeah... but i think that's more a problem from light and camera... cause it's been washed and highlighted already :S... maybe a picture by daylight:)

Yeah i still have to paint my Wood elf Wardancers and Bretonnian Questing knight + Grail Knight on foot. Need some more paints for it!!!! So i will get there Owh yeah and my Marienburger warband

Crazy "GREAT" or he looks crazy Anywayz... i tried some new tricks on it, and it seems to work out

It's a own blend ... but i used emerald green, with chaos black. And Jaded Green for the hood, also with some chaos black.

And Goblin green... with some more sorts of greens and blacks. Also Green Ink. And highlighted that with emarald.

I guess that's about it

I would add some elf flesh in the mixture of that final green to make some strong small highlights in key points.
Its very simple and the model would shine in the battlefield.
Or you could try to make the cap and the tunic of a different green making that highlight only in the cap.



The key is every the same , very diluited colours and few of it on the brush.
And the golden daemon is yours!!!

Maybe some more highlights then:)
But his cap and tunic are 2 different sorts of green... even the undershirt is a third

If u mark more that difference , It would be easier to recognize the details on distance.

(As we always plays stand up, little far from the minis it would be very nice to see some good highlights )

Just one more and the model would be perfect!

I don't usually offer critiques on finished minis...it's a bit late for that , but, as the whole Band of Brigands isn't done YET, highlighting should be the next improvement to your technique. As a mini diminishes in size, the highlighting & shading should become more dramatic, so as not to lose all the LOVELY undercuts & details. Doing the hood in a different color rather than a different shade would also add a bit more interest to the mini. Other than that...WELL DONE!

Thanxs... but they are more sorts of green... but i guess you can't see it to well on the picture!
But please feel free to comment on my finished models... i can always add more details...

ACTUALLY that bit of critique motivated moi to go back & do a bit more highlighting on a member of a War Band I'm currently working on...sometimes I get some help from my own posts .
