Tom's Boring Mordheim Meeting: Accomodation

Hi fellow Mordheim Meeters!

Wohooo! I managed to find an accomodation that has very good reviews and is very reasonably priced! Only drawback: it is unfortunately approx. 25min away (by subway) from our gaming location.

But I think that's not really a problem, is it?

Here's the description:

€17 per person per night, incuding Breakfast (all you can eat as far as I know )

It's a 4, 6 or 7 bed dorm in a Youth Hostel, so you'll a also have shared WC/Shower facilities.

There are pool tables, TVs, free WiFi and it is close to the "Wiener Wald" so it must be very green around there, which is nice!

There is only one more thing: The lady wrote back to me saying that during this period they have a minimum stay of 3 nights! This might be a problem if you do not want to stay a day longer and do some sightseeing. If you were planning on visiting for 3 days anyway (2 days of gaming + 1 of sightseeing) we don't have a problem. I thought I'll post about this hostel anyway, because it seemed very friendly, nice and cheap.

I'll keep looking around, no problem, but tell me what you think about this one!

sounds good to me ...I had planned to show up Thursday - Sunday anyway ...to leave some time for beers + sightseeing of nice habsburg ladies ...eh I mean buildings and stuff ...

Yes, I though that it would be best for everyone to arrive the 10th and leave 13th, because that way you can get a good night's sleep before the games (maybe finish painting some minis and stuff), and one night after the games.

heya tom, i don't know if you're looking for an accomedation for me too (no offence to you guys at all! i'm just staying for 7 days with 4 people so we'd like a shower and a toilet) so something a bit more luxery then a youth hostel if you're looking plz.

(it doesn't matter if you aren't looking, it'd just be more handy for us)

I'm planning to arrive on thursday, as the train needs about nine hours to get to Vienna, so the three-night-issue is no problem.
The price is very cheap, I haven't got any problems with sharing a room.

I have bad news! I just got the "EULA" from the accomodation, and apparently there is an extra fee of €4 if you don't have a IYHF card (= International Youth Hostel Federation card) which would normally cost 20€ for a year. I don't understand why they couldn't tell me that from the beginning

The good news is, I have not made a fix reservation yet (although it looks like this is the only well-reputated hostel that will be free from 10th-13th) so nothing is booked YET.

Please let me know if €21is still ok per person per night.

If anyone is NOT ok with that, I fully understand, and I will do my best to find something else!

I agree with that price, it's very low compared with Paris prices
