Death Squads - New Release and Public Community opens!

Everyone:

We are very proud to announce the opening of a public forum for Death Squads, www.DeathSquadsGame.com.

Death Squads is a skirmish game based on 40k created by fans for fans. The game has gone through incredible transformations and evolutions... a true labor of love. At this stage, The Living Rulebbok (TLRB) has everything you need (except models!) The rules are very solid (but I would not be surprised if someone finds something that could be improved) and the four Official Squads very balanced. Several Experimental Squads are on the works, and they should trickle slowly but steadily to our new home for your gaming pleasure.

From this point on, the development of new Squads (known as Experimental Squads) will be open to anyone who is interested. Community members will give opinions and suggestions, but it will be up to the author to balance his creation (taking suggestions or not) and once the author believes is ready to become official it will be put to a vote. Every person who has become a designer (has made a contribution to Death Squads) will get an equal voice and vote. A true democratic process!

Come and join our community, download TLRB (check the News & Announcements section) and have fun! Contribute, ask, share as you see fit! We hope to see you in our new home!


PS: TOM: I want to thank you VERY much for the excellent example you have showed us as the Admin of this forum. I only wish that we can be as prolific and dedicated as you. Thanks for setting the bar so high!

Yup; Andy was kind enough to print out a copy [I can't do downloads ], AND, at VAST personal expense, mail them to me. Thus far my ony contribution other than offering well deserved praise, has been pencilling in grammatical & spelling corrections. GREAT STUFF!

Attention:

There was a split with Death Squads about 2 months ago and Mordheimer quit the group. I have continued on with the project and this new release and new website is not part of my doing. We are still working on Death Squads and fine tuning it but if we need to we will open to the public also but the point was never to release something unless it was done.

I read an email last night from Mordheimer on this matter. I replied to him this morning noting we needed to talk about a few things but I guess he is moving forward.There is a possibility of working all things out but coming out in this manner and doing this way is not very cool. This is what just happened in Honduras. LOL.

This was a project that I got with Mordheimer about doing almost a year ago and I had in the works before I talked to him and now it seems it is being taken in another direction.

With that, I am a bit surprised and shocked by these actions and will continue to move forward on what I am doing. I am not saying there will never be a consolidation of minds but I was not talked to before this latest event.

I think since both sides have had their introduction say on the matter we should keep this topic flame free, not saying either mordheimer or Dabank will but just making a heads up not to go that route as your both grown men playing with toy soldiers... damnit... we are big kids! so we cuold technicalyl act like that!

The serious version, lets keep this topic argument free, if there are any problems please take them to pm's or email, but i think we should spare Tom's forum any unneeded flames, disagreements on a seperate product or spam posts by others wanting an input or asking questions which could fuel anything unwanted.
