I added some more greenstuff yesterday after I took the pictures...

(the converted beastman are taken from one old White dwarf but in the end it will be pretty much different)

If I sculpt more today I might post more wip tonight

Added some more greenstuff - is there anyone who knows exactly how long it takes for GS to dry?? The GS I added yesterday isn't dry yet so it is so hard to work with the minis when they have a lot of GS on them...
I added tails on the beastmen, in my oppinion sheep, goats and all other anilmals DO have tails - I do not understand why the beastmen doesn't have tails from the beginning?? Someone who knows??

The last beastman is all done now I think, I should only let the GS dry and then add some gear to his belt...

I think GS will be be dry after one day. Are you sure you waited for 24 hours and not just over night?

Beastmen with tails? 'Course they don't have tails! They are supposed to be mean, brutish animal human Chaos bad-asses! How silly would they look with a tail??

However, I do like your Gor. I like the old school feeling of the model and the tail isn't too big/long. After all, they are Chaos creatures so everything is possible/viable. Go with how you envision them!

I waited only over night so there are no wonder that it isn't dry yet, I was just wondering I want to continue to sculpt and I am so unpatient

And of corse brutish, evil and horrible monsters like beastmen can have a tail :O It is an evil tail
Of cours should it be only a little goatee but nevertheless a tail I haven't had this much inspiration for so long

I'm also of the Pro Tail school of thought AND subscribe to the notion that Minotaurs SHOULD have hooves...this is one of those areas where I part company with the GW designers. The goatee IS associated with things Diabolical; I have a goatee & I'm EVIL...kind of .

Having read this lastest post, Fungomungus rushes.. ok wheels his comfy desk chair, over to his bin of DOOM. (Doom for its a freaking mess and so unorganized it looks like a 6 yrs olds toy box, insteads its a 28yr olds toy box)

He seaches out his ziplock full on his possesed and pull forth his 3...nope 2 beastmen and check out their behinds, of which he very rarely if ever does. And notices that they have tails, cute lil bobbed tails... but what of the 3rd? where did he go? Was he a BM w/o a tail? What sinister chaos plot is this?

I confess that like yourself the Southern portion of North bound Beasty Guys is of VERY LITTLE interest, but since the tail question has arisen, I'd check the dusty corridors of the Vault of Pack Rattiness [where 62 yr. olds keep their toys], AND LO the OLD GW's & Marauders have tails...WHAT A RUSH, Man!

Now I am finally done with the sculpting of one of my beastmen What do you think??

That's a good looking Possessed warband you've got going there! I really like the tyranid-boar-cthulhu-centaur beastie, that's quite a conversion! He reminds me a lot of some of the older chaos spawn people would convert, which were full of character.

I'm also a fan of your work on the old plastic Gor, he looks good with the weapon swaps and the sculpting. Nice job, keep up the good work!

VERY NICE! The goatee is COOL; goes nicely with the Beasty Boy's expression. The dismembered skeleton REALLY looks good on the base...should paint up TERRIFIC.

Deafman, you crack me up! U truly are the escentric father we all never had! I wish you would have made us learn to spell better tho, but as it is, our memorising of where random bits of info and bitz for kit bashing comes from is important to !

O and digging the beastmans hairdo! But I was wondering what it would look like if u brought the hairline a little over the horns in front. Would it look like the hair was starting further on the head? But it may cover up some of the mohawke...hmmm

Now I am all done with one of my beastmen and I am all done with the greenstuffing of the other, now I only need a third but it seems totally impossible to get a hold of ONE single beastman. So Maybe I have to sculpt another one

I can add that I have only glossy varnish and I am going away to buy matt today... But the beastman isn't that glossy that he looks at the picture IRL.

VERY COOL! I LOVE them both. The painted Beasty Boy turned out GREAT; I REALLY like the base. Using a gloss then a matte spray SHOULD make for a more durable finish...GREAT for a gaming piece. VERY WELL DONE!

I like the looks of that big guy a lot - I think you should do another for your third beastman if you don't have any luck hunting down another single fig!

I have a lot of boarheads and bodys and other bits but I don't think *I have any more good torsos, so I have to search for some good things... Maybe I could use the possessed torso (that I have somewhere) and make a beastman with pigs head with that

If you have or could get a copy of The Best of the Town Crier, Ali Morrison has an article about how he converted a Possessed War Band. One of his coversions used a boar's head with an Orc torso & legs...VERY COOL model.

That is (the mordheim article) my favorite! The simple conversions that he did are just mad! I thought she already saw them? The big beastman resembles the wolf conversion guy he made.

I ordered a third beastman from gamemaniacs when I ordered my female witch hunters so I hope I get him soon
