I based up & base coated the Wyrd Effigies. T old metal one is on the left with the new oh-so-delicate new one on the right:

Thanks, Harrocks. I am glad you like him/her/it. I did the older & nicer metal one first since it came with a color photo of the miniature. I did it differently, but it gave me ideas. The plastic one is waiting for some inspiration.

actually hadn't clocked that the other one is wip - looks great!

The other one is rather ghostly looking; SO the white paint job would look done. I'll have to keep that in mind if I don't come up with a brighter color scheme.

ah yes, I see now - it's your usual undercoating technique.
I think it was the presence of the books / pages that led me to think it was finished.

Thanks, Jim. Wyrd does have a flair for the strange & unusual. As a strange Old Man I can identify with their stuff. I am glad you like them.
The scrolls are from a Reaper treasure pack; I ground the base off.  

I dug out Seamus & his Alter Egos from the Vault along with the Twisted Tortoise & Hare. The Tortoise will be with another Gang, but the Hare will be part of the Red Chapel Gang...a Living Impaired Urban Gang. Here they are along with some new W.I.P. bases as of early yesterday:






By last night the bases had gotten more colorful:




I tried a new rust effect from FolkArt:


We will see what develops as the day wears on...probably.

Grand work on the effigies! Those are rather nice models too, got a real Tzeentchian familiar feel.

Looking forward to seeing the Red Chapel gang coming together too -- they're a weird line-up, but what else would I expect?

The Red Chapel Gang is weird even for Wyrd. There are a bevy of Living Impaired Hookers that figure in their mix .

classy work on the bases DN. Tentacles/eyes in particular (weird / wyrd thing is I hadn't noticed them before you'd painted them, and now they completely make the base!).
