I tried doing a quick search but didn’t see anything on this. I’m sure it has been answered to death. But it came up at our last game. We had an Augur with the injury result as “Blind In One Eye” Since Augurs are already blind the debate ensued.

The two main points that were discussed were if the penalty of -1 BS would actually effect an already blind warrior. One side, stated that since the Augur is already blind, other than physical appearance the -1 BS penalty wouldn’t apply since the Augur is already blind, no negative effects. The other side states, that that since the injury results states the -1BS the results still should apply for fairness, perhaps as a an effect to the awareness of the Blessed Sight.

And the third player, of The Augur, didn’t have an opinion either and would accept the results of the group.

So I bring my question here for an opinion of the Mordheim Community. Does the blind Augur get the penalty for “Blind In One Eye” or is the penalty ignored since the Augur is already blind and doesn’t use eyes to see anyway?

Huh. That's a thinker... I'd say apply the result (for fairness), but rename it -- she's already blind, but now maybe one of her other senses is impaired & she can no longer smell her enemies properly to target them.

We chose to ignore the injury since augers are blind.

The difference between theme and mechanisms. I'd apply the penalty.

I think I agree. The Auger has obviously been struck in the head; is suffering from severe post concussion symptoms which scrambles her radar; and is therefore unable to locate a target... or whatever. geek
