| Halberds are one of the most common weapons, and there's an offcial model marketed as " Possessed Brethren w/ halberd". But in the Possessed equipment list they are missing. Do you consider it a mistake like it happened with Orcs and clubs and allow them? | |

| I didn't know that this should represent a halberd. I always saw it as a Double-handed weapon. | |

| Where did you find this mini marked like that? An official GW catalogue, White Dwarf, Annual? Or just some place like Citadel Collector or Stuff of Legends or something? If the later is the case, this would explain things. | |

| It's described as "Possessed brethren with halberd" in the Citadel 2000 Annual. | |

| I've remember seeing it somewhere back then, when I was assembling my warband, and it allways looked strange to me. Maybe it was in a White Dwarf, or the old Games-Workshop website, IDK, but it definitely wasn't a fan-site. This is the only picture I can find doing a quick search on google, a Citadel catalogue from 2004: But the question isn't if it looks like a spear, a two handed weapon or halberd... the most important question IMO is, there a reason for Possessed to not have access to halberds, fluff or gameplay wise? it looks odd. Looks like clubs and Orcs to me. | |

| I'm pretty sure that guy came in the Mordheim Cult of the Possessed boxed set. In the before-before time when we were just learning the rules my friend equipped his guys with what they were equipped with on the model. It was a year or so before we noticed that halberds weren't actually on the list for them, but it didn't seem to make anything less fun allowing them to use them.
It also made it a bit easier for new people when they would bring their freshly-assembled warband that they just bought and we didn't have to tell them "Actually, that model isn't legal - you will have to either pretend it is something else or change the model" and just go straight into the game.
TLDR: We allow the warhand access to the halberd and it didn't make anything less fun. YMMV. | |
