Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I last gave this forum a proper visit. I've been out of playing Mordheim for a couple of months but in the near future it looks like we'll be starting things up again. For the occasion I've begun painting up a new warband: beastmen raiders!

So far I have the chief, bestigors and minotaur painted, with a couple of gors and the shaman to go before the starting roster is done. Please let me know what you think about them and keep in mind, they really do look their best when viewed at least a foot away from the eye. Wink

First, the chief: Gharbad Wifestealer.

The bestigors, so far unnamed.

The mighty minotaur.

And all of them together.

As I said at the top, next up will be a couple of gors and the shaman. See you then!

Nice looking warband-in-progress; I particularly like the skin tone you've used.

Personal preference, but I'm not overly keen on using bright red for fresh blood like you've done on one of your shields. I think that you get a much better effect using Tamiya Clear red and black ink. It's easy to do and best applied after painting and varnishing.

BEASTMEN! They aren't even zombie beasts!

Good to see the old metal warband getting some paint. As Citizen said it is also good to see the classic skin tone done well.

Cheers guys, it's good to be back to painting again.

@Citizen Sade, I can try putting some black ink on top of it, since it was actually Tamiya clear red that I used. I think it looks alright though, especially the stuff that got on the shield.

@Von Kurst, it seems that I finally found it within myself to break free from the undead, although they're still always there, whispering in the night...

I CANT BELIVE I MISSED THESE, I BEEN LOOKING FORWARD FOREVER!!!!

Ok, yelling aside, they look really great, glad you could get the Bestigors, the leader looks great, personally I would paint my beastmen more brown'ish, but the red vibe is looking great.

Remembering how the Mino looks unassembled, its almost a surprice to see how good it looks, put together.

Beastmen is one of my favorite warbands, I hope you will enjoy playing with them.
