Ok so these questions may seem dumb but I am goin to present them either way:

Do pistols (or other close combat oriented weapons) get -1 penalty for long range? (I know that throwing weapons do not get it, but a penalty for a 6" range pistol seems a bit harsh)

Do pistols get -1 penalty for move & shoot?

What about dueling pistols or warplock pistols?

I have read that you may shoot at charging warriors with a pistol. (I don't remember where)
Is this a house rule or something from coreheim?

As the crossbow pistol don't need to be reloaded, am I able to shoot twice with one crossbow pistol if I have the pistolier skill? (4 shots with a brace of crossbow pistols, and the skill pistolier?) (8 if you are able to combine pistolier and quickshot, it isn't forbidden according to the core rules. (Is there an update for this?))

Thank you beforehand for your comments.  Smile
/Gustav

Hi Gustav,

Yes, pistols suffer a penalty from long range. And yes, this means that regular pistols will often suffer from it.

Yes, pistols suffer penalties from moving and shooting. Same for dueling and warplock pistols.

There's nothing in the original rules that let pistols intercept chargers before they can strike. The crossbow pistol does, though.

I hope this helps. Smile

Ok thank you!
I think it must have been coreheim, MODheim or somewhere else that i've read the thing with moving the charger half distance then let the victim shoot and than continue the charge.

Another question:

Pistolier only says that you're allowed to shoot twice with a brace, it doesn't give an exception to crossbow pistols. Also note that quick shot specifically says that it doesn't work with crossbow pistols. It says this in the latest updated PDF rulebook that GW made available before they removed everything about the specialist games.

You're stuck with two shots maximum whichever way you look at it.
