| Thank you very much smile! I'm just weary because models made from 1997 and earlier contain lead in them... source. I don't know how much lead is in them, so I have no idea if it's potentially harmful to be constantly touching them. Perhaps the main concern was children swallowing small bits and dying? Since lead is a highly poisonous metal. Since I'm so paranoid, do you think people would look at me oddly if I wore gloves while playing? D: Then again as long as I don't put my hands in my mouth after/while playing and wash my hands after I should be fine... | |

| You'll propably consume more lead from one glass of tabwater than you would from handling this mini. especially when painted, so yes, your paranoia would make you look silly | |

| The lead in them shouldn't be enough to poison you. However swallowing parts of them would be harmful. | |

| I have it on good authority that those models are highly toxic and you should get rid of them straight away. I'll give you £1 to dispose of them safely. Ahem... | |

| As an electronics engineer I work with lead quite a lot, as for prototyping solder containing lead is way easier to work with then the stuff without. Miniatures contain less lead (few %s) then solder does (40%). You're fine with washing your hands, and when a miniature is covered in paint, I don't even think that is necessary. The cities in the era of leaded gasoline was a lot worse. | |
