| Ohhh make or break right there! anticipation is high, I just hope they leave some sort of 'houserule' option where you can tweak the game a bit, as we've done with the regular version! | |

| I'll remain optimistic but not convinced yet, the other GW games have been rather hit and miss... | |

| Hmm very possible that other factions will be included, at least as dlc. To keep things fresh... I really hope they wil make a ps3 version for those of us without a pc. | |

| My guess is that they'lladd more war bands with either patches in the future or expansion packs just like the war hammer 40k dawn of war, depending if the game makes money or not. Most of the video gamers may not had heard of this game, so it will be a hit or miss. But the fact that its not very odd looking like blood bowl, it could sell good to the casual gamer. Its got a WOW style to it (OK just a little bit) plus a twist, so it could work.
Im hoping it sells well . Cant wait for the trailers.

| The wording in the interview is kinda promising for new warbands too. - Strategy informer wrote:
- Speaking of factions, which ones will make an appearance in the game?
- Bruno Parenteau wrote:
- Right now we've got four factions that we've unveiled, which are the human mercenaries from the Empire, the Skaven, the Sisters of Sigmar, which are a special group that exist only in Mordheim, and then we have the Cult of the Possessed, which are basically mutants. All factions from the original boardgame.
Note that he's talking about their current situation of having four warbands. He doesn't say those are the only ones in the finished game. At least I'm hoping for more.

| 24-07-2014 New artwork and screenshots! - Quote :
- The development of Mordheim: City of the Damned, the first video game adaptation of the cult tabletop game, Mordheim, is going full steam ahead at developers Rogue Factor. Today, they're taking a short break to share some new screenshots! Having previously unveiled the Skaven and the Human mercenaries, they are now revealing one of the next playable factions: the Sisters of Sigmar. We would also like to take the opportunity to unveil the great piece of artwork made exclusively for the game by artist Karl Kopinski.
Mordheim: City of the Damned is a turn-based tactical game set in the Warhammer World's doomed city, which blends elements of RPG, highly tactical turn-based combat and intricate unit customisation in a world overwhelmed by chaos and faction rivalry, and where the law of the strongest reigns supreme. Numerous factions are locked in battle in Mordheim, mainly for glory, fortune and power. Today's images unveil the Sisters of Sigmar, one of the four playable factions of the game!
Made up exclusively of women, the Sisters of Sigmar fight in the City of the Damned for a very different reason than the other factions: whereas the mercenaries throughout the Old World are seeking the fame and fortune that the shards of Wyrdstone can grant them, and the Skaven covet the precious green shards for the power they contain, the Sisters of Sigmar are eager to find the Wyrdstones in order to hide it all, where it will not spread further into the Empire the wave of insanity that has engulfed Mordheim. - Quote :
- Riches and infamy await you late 2014 in Mordheim: City of the Damned!

| I got this from a German forum, the user there got it from DakkaDakka/ User Anung un Rama
Edit: "Zitat" means "quote"
Zitat Aaaaand I'm back. Gamescom was great as always, unfortunatly I only had two days this time. As for Mordheim, I'll give you the short version: It looks amazing. Â :wow:
Zitat Will they be using the old rules, updating them or starting from scratch?
New rules. The stats and attributes are different. This is especially important for the order of turns, because the speed of the unit determines his place on the "iniative ladder". You can imagine it kinda like in Final Fantasy X.
Zitat If this ends up being successful, will they maybe try a Necromunda game in the same engine? They would, and I quote, love to do that.
Zitat Is it real time, or turn based? If it's real time, can it be paused to issue commands (like the first Space Hulk video game)?
Does it support campaigns with experience/skills/upgrades? If so, is it worldwide only or can you have a campaign that only includes say your 8 friends? Turn based. One unit moves after another. The great thing is, you move the unit from a 3rd person perspective. No looking at the whole map. You move and see what your character sees.
At the beginning of the game you pick a warband and use it in the single player campaign and the multiplayer at the same time. So you can play only against your friends and it basically will be a classic Mordheim campaign.
Zitat How many different warbands? Â Will it include Orcs and Goblin warbands? Â How about Dwarfs? Â What about the Lustrian warbands?
On release there will be 4 warbands: Mercenaries, Sisters, Skaven and Possessed. More are plannend and they intend to let the community pick them.
Zitat I want lizardmen in a dlc at least in this game. My friends and I are so geared up for this release!
What are the future plans for the other warbands not included on release? As far as they are concerned, they hope to bring in every warband at some point, but Lizardman are probably far off. They talked about Orcs and Dwarfs though.
Zitat we have a release date yet? Or did I miss that? 4th quarter 2014, though they do plan to start the Early Access programm pretty soon.

| I can't wait for many screenshots to arrive. The game oozes character, and it will be great for inspiration. I won't ever play the game, because honestly, if I can build and play regular Mordheim, why would I want to?
Turn based is all fine and well when playing a '90s game like X-COM, but new games always leave me unimpressed. And in general, every time I play a video game, I am not doing anything with my models and scenery, so I'd rather not. |

| Looks great so far. Be prepared to pay for your DLC. But if you can just play against your old friend over the internet it'd be awesome, and looks like they'll stick to the random battle results. I'm all over it as soon as it's not so buggy. | |
