Maudeheim & Environs, Part II: Updated 06/30/16

Thanks VERY much for the kind words, Guys...they are appreciated & provide moi with the motivation to continue The Project.  

The bright colors are in part due to my nature & partly to add to the surrealistic feel; i.e., that things are brighter here than they might be in "the Real World"...that's my story & I'm sticking to it.  

As always, love the woodwork, planking and overall uniqueness of the new additions.
You're doing exactly what you want and that is the biggest artistic achievement I can think of.

The next step should be adding stacked up shacks with connecting walk ways at various heights...unless something more interesting arises.

I have the first shack well underway. Individually the shacks won't be anything to write home about, but as a group they should be pretty cool...hopefully. At any rate it's going to be the No Name City (as in Paint Your Wagon) of Fantasy.  

I must say that your work has such an artistic look, it passes beyond terrain making.

Getting artsy with The Project may be just in case it doesn't see an actual game...sad as that may be.  

Dora's place is now open for business...more or less. Many's the Guy, Goblin or Otherwise, who's stopped off for "a wee drop at Dora's". Now that I've gotten that out of my system here are some photos of the latest development:

I like the shack on stilts. The paint choices on the docks are right on too, looks just like aged wood.

Great colors! I really like the cracked plaster wall, too.

AND thanks, V.K...our messages must have gone up milliseconds apart. I'm pretty pleased with the color scheme thus far. I have a feeling as more shacks sprout up a gaudier appearance may prevail.

Yep. It doesn't feel like looking at wargames terrain, it feels like looking at art.

I think the Little Witch is a WONDERFULLY expressive mini with a TREMENDOUS amount of charm & personality. She reminds me of the Junk Lady from Labyrinth.

@JoaoS: I'm not sure who the mini maker was/is, but she's an old mini Joe got with a eBay deal.  

I finally finished the second of The Faerie Folk. The Grig Girls have settled into the Wood by Heep's place much to his annoyance. SO...

These days, whilst walking the doggie, I'm constantly reminded of your work what with all the mushrooms I encounter.
Alas, don't know why, but I'm reluctant to have a closer look at them lately...
