| So, I have managed to buy myself a rather cheap new warband... Not already divulging what it is yet, will do once the first couple are entirely painted. Now I wanted to try something alltogether different (for me in any case), without making things too difficult for me (I don't want to spend up to a week per base-batch like I did on my Warmachine Pirates) So I did a test-base first, and I must say I'm pretty happy with the result. I'll be curious to hear feedback from you guys. Now, 28 bases to go... Of course, this test-base is the only one that is done seperately from the fig. All the other ones will get populated before priming. By the way, if you look closely enough, you'll notice that this base is a particular size I've never seen in any other game than the one these guys will be for

| The photos are a bit fuzzy to my old eyes. Plus without a familiar mini or two for a sense of scale, looking closely just reveals what looks like a standard square base. I'm pretty clumsy so fancy bases make me nervous. Thus I may not be the best judge. | |

You and me both... I'd wish to expand these guys, just by walking into a store and making my pick. In the meantime, finished off 9 more Warriors of the Abyss The first three : Three more : And the last three : And an update + a more frontal view on my to-do-list :

| How did I miss this? Rackham's Short Evil Ones are some of my favorite minis; AND you're doing a them justice... GREAT brushwork, color choices, & bases. VERY WELL DONE! With that backlog, we can look forward to a lot of updates...time permitting. | |

| Ooh, I like those minis. Confrontation had some really cool stuff, although sometimes the proportions of their minis was a bit weird. These fellas however are ace. I like the palette your using - grim and diseased! | |

| How is this a cheap warband?! As far as I know, OOP Confrontation stuff tends to cost a fortune these days. Where did you get them cheap? Anyway, great work on the little rascals. I particularly like the skin tones. Which colours did you use? And the lava bases. Very creative and suitable for these characters. Joao | |

| Thanks!
Cheap as in a fellow club-member bought a lot of boxes and blisters from a retail store that went bankrupt. He sold me this whole list for 22 euros
I'll have to check for the colours used. I'm still having problems remembering the new GWS colour-names

| So, for the skintones : ° Over a layer of Chaos Black primer ° Apply an overall basecoat of diluted Liche purple ° Drybrush over that a mix of Kislev Flesh and Enchanted Blue ° Highlight with a final layer of Kislev Flesh Which is exactly what I did on this new batch I just finished : Veterans of the Abyss A Fire-Spitter of Mid-Nor And Azahir the Mad | |

You and me both! I've got a bunch of them which I'll be painting up once the whole warband is finished painting up. Then I'll paint 'm all in one go, and spread 'm out over the bases. I considered glueing them on the bases immediately, but then they'd just be getting in the way of the details of the actual fig. Only 9 more undead-igor-puppet-Dwarves to go...

| Time for another update! Starting off with a Mid-Nor Warstaff (which is Cofrontations' way of saying "Command Group") A Collector of Mid-Nor Araqsalil the Skinner (what's in a name) As you can see, I've already made quite the dent in my to-do-list 27 down, 4 to go! | |

| VERY COOL in a bizarre sort of way! Your brushwork & coping with the incredible amount of detail that Rackham lavishes on their minis is impressive. VERY WELL DONE! | |

| Thanks! Though I must say that compared to the Gobbo Pirates, the level of detail is ... bearable... In the meantime, I've completed three Demonic Satyrs : These funny little critters will accompany the bossman, Yh-Sabahal who is next on the to-do-list. After him, there's only a bunch of Canopic Puppets to go, and these guys will get their varnish coat... And then will probably be stored away until some company or other finally decides to resurrect Confrontation... | |

| COOL...now you have air cover or possibly air pollution. The Dwarven Devils are TERRIFIC looking...love the red goatees. VERY WELL DONE! I'm sure you could use the Abyssal Guys as counts as types for Mordheim or some other Fantasy Game...or not. | |

| Yehr, maybe... Are there Chaos Dwarfs rules for Mordheim somewhere? If not, I could always use them in a BloodBowl game I guess... In the meantime, Yh-Sabahal is finished... All smile for the family picture! Now I just need to paint the Puppets, but alas, my primer-can seemed to be empty when I wanted to prime them yesterday-night | |

| He's the VILEST One yet... GREAT WORK! AND I love the Group Portrait. Isn't completing a project a wonderful feeling? There are indeed Rules albeit unofficial floating around for the Chaos Dwarves. They also have their very own web site: http://www.chaos-dwarfs.com/ | |

Oh yes it is, especially now that I have painted up the 8 Canopic Dolls I still had to do... I glued them to bases of various figs, as you can see hereunder And now, all there's left to do is varnish them and stow 'm away until a gaming opportunity presents itsef Thanks for the Chaos Dwarf intel by the way! Mucho appreciated!

| The Canopic Dolls are OH-SO-COOL; they add an elements of both silliness & horror to the Dwarfs...a SPLENDID finish to a FINE Project. VERY WELL DONE! | |
