| Undead and Possessed may not use blessed water. I can't remember any FAQ answering if that means the warband or the model? I think we've always said warband in my group.
I was talking to our Champions of Chaos player today and we sort of decided that his warriors with a Mark of Chaos couldn't use it and that they and the other chaotic creatures in the warband could be targets.
[Side note is anyone familiar with this warband? Should have asked months ago, I know.]
What about Beastmen, Carnival of Chaos?

| For who is effected, we normally go with the rule daemonic or undead. So in the possessed model would be the only affected in the possessed warband and in the undead warband, everything bar the necromancer and the ghouls would be affected (the vampire isn't really undead, but we count it anyway).
I don't think it would affect Beastmen, because they are more or less like skaven. But in the carnival or chaos case, it would be plague bearers and nurglings. In the champions of chaos (these are the marauders rights?), the chaos spawn could be a target.
We play with anything slightly 'evil' can't get blessed water; so for us orcs cant get blessed water.

| Thanks for the reply. I should have left Beasts off the list, because you are right about the comparison to skaven.
The Champions of Chaos is a choas warrior list that I didn't research before it got into the campaign. Awful stuff.

| It would seem strange to me if Undead warbands could use blessed water, or garlic for that matter. Even if they are not undead and are unaffected by the effect I can't really see them include the "holy" stuff. I'm sure the vampire wouldn't be too pleased to see his pets carrying around the stuff, same goes for the possessed Beastmen and skaven are not the same! Skaven are a stable race of monsters, they remain pretty much the same over each generation. Beastmen on the other hand are the children of the old night, they are not stable! Beastmen takes many different shapes and are mutants. I believe beastmen should be affected by blessed water, at least the ones that hangs around with Possessed Cults. | |

| @Grubbi: I would think the Vampire would definitely be affected by the blessed water. They're not mindless like zombies, but they definitely qualify as undead. | |

| The Vampire does have the words "Undead creature" in its rules, so I think its a safe bet its Undead.
I really wanted to include models with the Mark of a Chaos god or a mutation. I do wish GW could learn to be more precise in its language, but this is just a dream.

| We also play that no member of a Possessed or Undead warband can use blessed water. As to who's affected by it, there was an old FAQ answering a question about blessed weapons that may give some guidance: - Quote :
- A Blessed water and weapons only effect undead that are dead!
Since Dregs and Necromancers are human, they are not affected ... As for possessed – Magister, The Possessed, Dark Souls and Mutants are all affected. My take? Affected are Carnival Master, Tainted Ones, Plague Bearers, Nurglings, The Plague Cart plus the Beastman Shaman as he's a chaos rituals user.
