Hey everyone,

It's been a long time since my last active post (I never stopped lurking!) and I am looking to get the old crew back together (plus some new faces) for a week long Mordheim game session over the christmas period.

I wanted to e-mail out to my group the .pdf's we are going to use so everyone can get in early on warband creation etc.

What rules / rulebooks / House rules do you guys run and why? I was thinking of play testing Coreheim vs BtB vs Gentlemen's Mordheim but time is running short!

Thanks in advance,

The Fool.

We only use the GW released Mordheim and compatible expansions like BTB. This gives us a huge variety of rules and scenarios to use that work well together.

Coreheim, Heroheim, Gentlemen's Mordheim, etc are all different games that were inspired by the Mordheim concept. They may be good games but they don't have the scope of the GW released Mordheim game.

Perhaps if you set up a poll?

Otherwise +! to Rational's reply. With lots of ships and cannon. What a Face

We use core rules with house rules mainly to bring popular warbands in line (Nerf elves) and boost armor/nerf duel wealding.

Elves:
Max Toughness 3
Remove Standard from SE's
Remove Sniper Skill
All elf warbands have a max of 4 heroes starting... remove 1 Champion class hero from max.

All normal Armor are half price.
All Armor gives +1 AS
Shield and Bucklar give +1 AS in h2h with hand weapon

Duel Weilding is -1 to hit for both hands (not -1 WS).
Combat Skill can be used to negate this.

We also use a simple Crit chart
1-2= +1 to wound roll
3-4= 1 wound =2
5-6= 1 wound =2, no armor
(It's something like that)

the end result of these changes are now Elves are much more reasonable and thus fun for all... and people get to play there pointy eared guys.
Armor is now a viable option in the game and more options are more fun over all as now you get to play your prefered play style (Tank or killer) and not be at a disadvantage for the choice.

We do some more but those were the big ones.
