Hello, I was wondering if anyone has painted up some kislevs, if so, what colours did you use. I am trying to work out what colours I should be painting them so they still look like Kislevs but then don't look like they're from Altdorf. I have used the empire archer box set so their bodies are robes and I will be painting them brown, I am more concerned about their arms and legs

Thanks,
Grubbi

Bright blue or red should IMO go well with the brown robes Smile

Its funny, the past few days I've been toying with the same idea for making a Kislev warband. The archer box has awesome heads for that Smile The Men at Arms box offer some really good parts aswell, and so does the good ol' hairy head sprue Wink

Edit: By the way, What model did you use for the bear? I've been looking around for a good one, preferably in plastic.

Hey,

I am planning to buy this model , but place it on a 25X25 base becuase the bear only has two attacks and two wounds -so the same with the possessed; and my group is fine with it. I will probably just use the other models for war hounds.

You could just buy a D&D Cave bear, pretty decent plastic sulpt and would fit on a 25x25 with no fuss.

(i'm not saying buy THAT one, that's just for a photo)

Kislev is one of my projects abroad orcs and shadow elves.
https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t6680-men-of-the-north-kislev

I stick to the gw colours they used in the 6th edition army booklet
http://whfb.lexicanum.com/wiki/Warhammer_Armies:_Kislev_%286th_Edition%29
There are some painting tipps in there, mostly for horses unfortunately.

If you can't find it on the net, I would send you the german version by
e-mail. Since you do not need to translate the pictures Wink it should do
the trick

As for the bear, I plan to buy this (reaper minis):
