| A friend of mine just pre-ordered his copy of WAR . I'm tempted to try it, as I do love the warhammer world - but I've invested a lot of time (sadly) into WoW. So, unless he gives me both thumbs up, I can't see myself switching over. And there's no way I'm playing two MMORPGs at the same time. | |

| I think the fact that this game is being made by Mythic is going to be enough reason for me to leave the wilderness and come back to MMO's. Their previous game, Dark Age of Camelot, was brilinatly executed, and in the first few years it was an absolutely brilliant game. I still rate it as the best game ever made as no game has made me feel so happy as that one.
Over time though, I think it was the players themselves that brought it to its knees. The hardcore 'win at all costs' gamers starting creating seperate accounts purely to make a buff-bot, so in Realm vs Realm warfare unless you'd spent another 100+ hours getting your alt Cleric to level 50, you be beaten thouroughly. So in the end, everyone was doing it, and laid back gamers such as myself just got frustrated and left.
Still the greatest game of all time, thanks to those first 2-3 years when it was fun. The classes were great, the enviroments were beautiful, the players were fantastic, you really felt good about playing. If Mythic can do that again for WAR, then they'll be on to a winner. I'll certainly be trying it. | |

| Yesterday, I finally got accepted to the Open Beta! GOA had a lot of issue's this week with the opening of the Open Beta, and we all should've been playing last sunday, but unfortunately, everything didn't turn out as planned. Anyways, I'm in! My character is a lvl 3 Marauder ( love the mutations! ), and not that good in the game though, still gotta learn a lot about it.. but it doesn't matter, it's a Beta, my character will be deleted this sunday, so who cares! Overall, I'm really enjoying the game, I like the fact that a lot of the creatures you're fighting are familair (had to fight: Gors, Ungors, Zombies, Awakened Spirits etc etc!) As far as it looks now, I might actually play this game for real! | |
