The new warband itch!

Our campaign will be over soon and while I will be sad to no longer be playing Ahriman's Expedition (Chaos Dwarfs) I am excited about our next campaign! Von Kurst has talked about how we may return to Sartosa for the next campaign and my first thought was to play Cathayans again. I love the Cathayans because I get to pretend I'm a ninja I mean, play with my L5R models! I played them before and I think they're a pretty cool warband.

The thing is, now I'm kind of intrigued by the undead pirates and the Lothern Sea patrol. Are the undead pirates competitive at all and are the Lothern Sea Patrol broken?

I wouldn't call them broken, though I might say they are under-priced (the commodore especially).

I would be glad to take on Lothern's Sea Guard.... with my Norse Explorers warband fully levelled after the BTB campaign!!

The Lothern Sea Patrol is a nerfed shadow warrior version.

The commodore hassone less BS and I than the Master shadow walker for the same price. He is allowed to purchase an honour, but he is still weaker. This warband starts with only 4 heroes and and you can only purchae max 5 bs 4 henchman. All the others are on BS 3.

This warband is much more balanced than the shadow warrior warband.

The ghost pirates seems not to powerful to me, but i think it is more difficult to evaluate their power level. I played the undead warband twice a long time ago.

Basically i can say Styros warbands all have a fine theme and all i now are balanced very well.

If you decide for the ghost pirates i would be very excited to see your painted warband.
