Hey, I was logging in incorrectly but figured it out. I can start posting the pictures now!
I don't know how many people check the emails so I wanted to post this here: Rabbit's Foot The rabbit's foot is a symbol of good luck and often worn about the neck on a thin cord of leather by superstitious warriors. A rabbit's foot allows the warrior wearing it to re-roll one dice during the battle. If not used in the battle, it can be used to re-roll one dice during the Exploration phase, providing the hero is able to search through the ruins.
We were using it incorrectly, it can not be used to reroll on the injury chart. A quick search on this forum and google at large will show this to be true. See you all tomorrow!

True. In our group however we have houseruled it to do exactly that though. Allow re-rolls on injury that is It does make it a powerful item, but we want to see our heroes live just a bit longer (Shelena's leaders kept dying before )

Can't believe it's Week 7 already!
Pictures:
Highlights:
The Von Dooms - Took a Random Pit Fighters completely off from the board, claiming their 5th territory
Agrat bat Mahlat - Stumbled upon the Merchant's Quarters and made bank, then fought the weaponless Rudolph's Hussians bravely but routed. They are further away from their home territory now
Beard Burna's Boyz - Another warband that tried to take out Rudolph's Hussians, but routed and lost 2 goblins
Bern Smashers - Had a 2 hour battle with the Dwarves and lost 6 guys! The leader is unfortunately killed in action and a one-armed Big Un replaced him!
The Grim Axes - Fun times with more nurglings! Competed for the Gun Powder kegs, and won the game with 2 in their hands. 1 Nurgling ran off with 1 keg!
Carnival of Chaos - Took out a Skaven's territory and just rolled for exploration
Dwarves (Chris) - Had 2 hour battle with the Bern Smashers, leader was OOA, but came back hardened after! Big win for them!
Astaroth the Everliving Black Dwarves - Fought the massive Skaven warband off of the board with their might and took over a Skaven territory!
Rudolph's Hussians - Got a bounty on the leader's head for 5 weeks, fought 2 warbands that attacked them super effectively even without weapons, GOOD JOB!
Skaven - Got 2 territory taken over, defended 1 but got routed despite their numbers against the Black Dwarves
Pit Fighters - got routed by a Random Undead unit, still no territory for them!

pretty sure its the official beginning of the end for the bern smashers, at this point in the game you cant recover from loosing 5 guys and a warboss.
bummed the f**k out

Thanks a lot for these fantastic pictures of your campaign.
It seems to be lots of fun.
One thing is strange for me. The small random warbands who never really have a chance with only 50-60% of points. I hope i understood this right. I believe warbands which have a difficult start like possessed, dwarfs or any warband with big and costly monster like ogres and such have the biggest advantage.
So is your concept balanced? Do you have fun? Would you recommend it to thers?

The small random warbands are there to give out "free" xp at the beginning, as we conquer more territories, the chances of fighting them becoming slimmer and slimmer. And when you say "never really have a chance", I can say it is not entirely true. I, myself, have routed at least 3 full warbands (as I can remember), with Undead and Lizardmen. They are there to harass the full warbands but sometimes the dice rolled more in the random warband's favor I also remembered the Dark Elves leader getting killed post game because the player thinks the random warband doesn't stand a chance against his leader and charged forward.
As far as you actual question, If I understood it right, we had some people that used Possessed and Dwarfs as random warbands. What we usually do for all random warbands is to use the full 500gc to start, maximizing in the number of men instead of running with 5 guys and deck them out with fancy weapons... and then take 2 heroes and 3 henchmen for the first 5 weeks, 3 heroes and 3 henchmen for the second 5 weeks, and so on
No one had really complain about these random warbands. In the beginning there was someone who tried to stack 5 guys with crossbows and went overboard, then we edit the rules so that they would have to create a warband with as much people as possible with minimum of 1 weapon other than the free dagger. Then pick 2 heroes and 3 henchmen out of those.
As the campaign master, I've always try to balance the game as much as possible and so far all the things that people think to have been "broken" hasn't really come up. The 20-man Skavens lost 3 battles in a row so far, the Dwarfs have lost to the Outlaws and Chaos Dwarfs (2 different Dwarfs warband), the Reiklanders are surprisingly doing really good in the campaign
I hope that answers your question

the start of a would be perfect flank by troll and warboss = ultimate outcome, halfling cook kills troll, slayer slays warboss
3 squigs 1 orc and 2 goblins try to take 3 dwarfs = not 1 dwarf dropped

Agrat bat Mahlat - did not participate
Bern Smashers - routed the Beard Burna's Boyz and proved that Squigs aren't meant to be messed with! And they see a glimpse of hope despite being lead by a one armed leader!
Beard Burna's Boyz - too bad there weren't any wolves for Wo'fSlaya to slay! They got routed out by Bern Smashers
Il Pagliacci - fought brilliantly against the Von Dooms but was routed, and leader was OOA and came back alive with double 6s and gained a new spell (WTF!!). 4 heroes went OOA but all survived

Highlights from reports given to me during conversations:
The Monster Hunt Scenario:
The Von Dooms:: Vampire got taken by the Slave Master, released for 102gc and 6 shards, with his 2x Dark Steel Sword, Composite Bow, Light Armor, and Unholy Relic stripped off of him, total gold crown value lost for this week is around 380 gold crowns (3 wolfs and 2 ghouls down), everyone that survived gained +4 from underdog rating
Vindicta Carnifex: Leader got his Old Battle Wound kicking in, got taken down to their last man, lost 5 henchmen, but they were the only warband manage to stun the Slave Master (ps. Michael, don't forget your underdog rating bonuses for those who survives)
Kritch's Klaws: Took down the Griffon in 1 turn, and took out the Skavens protecting the Griffon in 2 turns, voluntarily routed after a futile attempt on wounding a single goblin from the Black Dwarves
The Black Dwarves: I don't even know where to start on this.... Slave Master got 8xp from capturing the Vampire, some other big guy got 8xp, and the other big guy got 12xp from just killings alone. Found the Elven Seeking Bow magical artifact!!!!! I hope karma will take him down next week
The Great Library Scenario:
Bern Smashers: Won the scenario, found 4 Tomes, did not manage to find a Magical Tome but killed a lot of the Reiklanders with critical hits, left the table a happy warband after 4 weeks of serious bad luck, gained Academic Skills
Beard Burna's Boyz: found 3 Tomes, no Magical Tome, teamed up against the Reiklanders, Shaman gained Stupidity, lost a bunch of guys, and sold all the Tomes to regain their loses
Rudolph's Hussians: got double teamed by 2 Orcs, voluntarily rout after getting decimated, 1 Hero died but a Marksman stepped up with Lad's got talent. P.s. 51" shooting, quick fire, black arrow, and fletchers, and BS 6 = taking down people from 4+ feet away at a 2+ to hit, 3+ to wound, and 3+ to take out)
Race to the Stash Scenario:
The Grim Axes: decimated the Carnival to pulp, the hero that run 4" regained his leg, gotten the Armor Magical artifact through rabbit's foot shenanigans! They left the table happy! Beardling got the Nurgle's Rot
Il Pagliacci: Got the Plague Cart running, spread some disease to a beardling, 2nd Strongman (Pepe Jr.) got brutally shot in the face, 3 Nurglings ran back into the warp and a Plague Bearer got murdered
The Deployment:
The rest of the action:

it started off rough, with the reiklanders creating a kill zone for "the burn smashers", while peppering "the beard boys" with some long shots
The burn smashers maneuvered through the building and past the kill zones to get to close range combat, while the orc shaman let a small troop of orcs to high ground. Mean while the "beard boys" and reiks continue to through long shots at each other.
this high ground served to be an key strategical point mid and late game
Surprise blunderbuss attack from an orc was dodged by all reiklander heroes (I thought that attack would have ended the game then)
"the burn smashers" ended up routing the reiklanders 1 turn later, and "the beard boys" decided to charge in and sweep up after the bloody mess.
it turned out to be a terrible move for "the beard boys" becuase "the bern smashers" had obtained the high ground. (sniper took out shamen, and tower orcs took out warboss, while troll charged in and smashed a few orc boys)
Very good day for the Bern Smashers after getting crushed by their dwarven nemesis.

Bern Smashers - Surprise Attacked the Von Doom and managed to defend their territory, they are now at the western region
Beard Burna's Boyz - Took the last remaining empty territory from a random Skaven warband and had their first win in 4 weeks
