| Great stuff, those gnomes are well done, superb idea, and i look forward to see your terrortoise finished! There´s only one little thing that disturbes me with all your minis painted here, they all look to regimental, will say they do lack a bit of individual colours, it all looks to warhammer movementtrayish, but thats just my humble opinion. _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! | Hi, I appreciate what you are saying, and I hope to add some more bits to make models individual on some of the other figures, but I have so many warbands in mind, I really need to try and stick to uniformed colour schemes in order to not blur the lines when they are on a table together. Bear in mind that some factions will be able to recruit allied races. The fluff for MODheim City of Legends (that only exisits in my head presently) is that each warband has been sent out from thier nations to investigate the fallen city where their gods used to live. These will be military warbands rather than just a bunch of sell swords bound together. However as I said, I do hope to add more individuality with some backpacks and accessories to some of the models which has been difficult to do with the dwarves (needing quivers), fishmen (with thier fins), and some of the other bits. I will probably add some bits to the southlanders retrospectively too, If you have any suggetstions about how to individualise the models more while keeping a unified look, I would love to hear them . Cheers. | |

| hej maxxev, well, now that i know a bit of the history of modheim i understand better the background and the uniform style of your minis. Concerning the individuality, your idea to add things like a bagpack or other unique items to a model will do just fine, and still keeping their colours to unify them. I for myself would also try to customize their bases a bit, this too can add extra flavor and individuality to each one of them, and still sticki to the colour sheme. Use Skulls or branches , or what about rubble stones, debris of any kind, but i use skulls and bones a lot, maybe some used, rotten weapons, try for yourself, but i think you´ll have no problem in finding some cool stuff to add to your guys, all fine work by the way! Thumbs up! _________________ Lord Flasheart: And always remember - if you want something, take it! Bobby! Bob Parkhurst: [enters] My lord? Lord Flasheart: I want something. Bob Parkhurst: Take it! | So I did a bit of work on the necromancer warband yesterday, finished basing them for undercoating this morning. I really like how these came out, they were pretty quick conversions (only 1 day... lol) after I identified all the parts I needed. I have had necron heads in my possession a VERY long time for these conversions, originally they were going to be used in my fringe wars project, but I knew as soon as I put cultists into my Undead warbands that those necron heads would come in handy! Cultlists were included by the way so as to give the option of experience gaining henchmen to various warbands that were otherwise devoid of that. You can see more pictures / angles here: http://maxxev.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/modheim-necromantic-cultists.html | |

| VERY NICE WORK! You've captured a sense pf motion with your positioning. The masks & hoods give the Lads the Cultist's prerequisite sinister aspect. Have FUN with the painting! | |

| I like your whole thread because there are so many different projects with really nice ideas that I can look at. The cultists are great - small extra bitz with a huge impact! | |

| So I wasn't expecting to get these "done" today (I still ahven't decided on how to finish the bases), but I did quite well for me, painting all 4 cultists, finishing off the Bane and painting the Necromancer I had only undercoated previously! As per usual, more picces on the blog. Also trying to work out a scheme for the terrortoises, what do you think of this scheme? (e.g. dark red and bone, like the 'Nid scheme) | |

| VERY COOL CONVERSIONS! The Lizard Lads have a lot of painting potential. The Tortoise Guy painted up very nicely, AND, judging from the coloration of my local tortoises/turtles, quite realistic. GREAT WORK all around. | |

| I have posted up this photo before in other places so I appologise if you have already seen it, but I've not made much progress on anything new (not enough to bother with new photos) so I have posted up something old. There are a couple more photos on my blog. These guys are the Northlanders (main rivals to the southlanders). | |
