Im getting started on making a board to play on, but i don’t know where to start.
-How big do you generally make them?
-I was thinking maybe I’d make cobblestone by buying some of that faux tile wallpaper and putting it on. would that work?
- I want to make elevated sections of the board, but i don’t quite want to go all out yet. any advice for making just a couple elevated foundations? what’s the best size?
- shoud i divide the board up into sections? if so, how many?

feel free to post any pics you think i would find helpful
thanks

You'll get more of a responses to a scenery question in the Scenery section. The Gallery is for finished pieces. What a Face

Recommended size for most 2 player scenarios is 4 feet x 4 feet. If you intend playing with 5 or more people you need more area 4x6 is good.

It works great.

1 footx 1 foot and 8 inches x 1 foot are good. Heights of 1, 2 and 3 inches give a good mix.

If storage is a problem, dividing the board up is a good solution. The size of your storage space is the important factor there. Don't have a section you can not store.

There are literally dozens of threads on this forum from people doing the same project. I recommend doing some browsing through the titles of posts.

I recomend you go for a 4x6 table. This way you can not use the whole thing for 1v1 games or use the whole thing for big games.

I have a question in response to your question. Razz
What kind of wallpaper do you mean?
I am also just starting on a table and this idea intrigues me...

HAHAHA! Exellent.

1. It's a lot cheaper than some other options.
2. It's a hell of a lot more straight forward.
3. It looks a lot better than I'd expect.

Cheers for the pic. Smile
