| The paving stones/cobbles look TERRIFIC..you have a nice pattern to them. While I really like the appearance of the crowned roads, how do the minis look standing on it? Having them listing at a rakish angle would rather ruin the effect. | |

| Thanks DeafNala - I'm really pleased with the cobblestones on the road. I'm a bit surprised (and delighted) that I was able to achieve this effect as well as I was hoping - still they've yet to be painted so who knows how they'll look in the end.
The camber (or crown as you would have it) is not very severe - but I will of course post an image with some minis.....on the tomorrow after I've put my head down for a sleep that is....should also help give a sense of scale to the whole

| GhostBear - actually no that's not the one. I've tried to find you an image but failed. If you look on my previous board images you can see it in small areas - it is the sort of pinkish buff colour stuff.

Ah, now that's interesting - I've only been looking at the plain white, paintable paper so far, never thought to look at the coloured stuff. I feel a trip around the diy stores this weekend....

| The minis look just fine on the curved road surface...little or no tilt at all. I see some new foundations have been added...the breathless air of anticipation. The board gets even better with each new posting; GREAT WORK! | |

| Hello all - here's my latest update These new structures will constitute the stonework for the buildings - with timber framed structures on top All of the buildings are removable - they will slot into the baseboard, you can see some of the cutouts for the next couple of buildings in front | |

| VERY IMPRESSIVE PROGRESS! For a few of my boards I've used a similar slot method; it works well despite it being a method I employ. It really is a pleasure watching your board evolve...keep up the SPLENDID WORK! | |

| This is really just lovely. All of the angles, the woodwork, excellent. My favorite detail is the arch on the roads, it's the kind of detail that can make all of the difference. | |

| EXCELLENT WORK! I love the roof... VERY interesting angles & the shingles are OUTSTANDING. The basement entrance has narrative elements; i.e., could this be the former home of a smuggler? GREAT WORK! | |

| I'll be curious to see how you paint that wallpaper on the house. I have the same pattern and thought of using it, but it looks too neat.
Anyway, your project looks wonderful and I can't wait to see more updates!

That was my thought too. A very neat detail to what looks like a very well planned board. I like the layout and how thoughtfully you seem to have placed everything. I am definitely looking forward to seeing more of this really great looking board!

| Oh, cool! Thanks a lot for the links to the foam! I also like the idea of making the foundations out of cheaper materials and then covering the relevant areas with blue foam.
This thread is highly inspirational!
