| PRETTY COOL STUFF! It's refreshing to see the Non-Combatants represented...the Executioner could double as the Local Collection Agency & Alternate Supplier for the Head Shop. The background pieces look TERRIFIC...some close ups would be nice. | |

| Good to see you post your stuff on here as well, Joao! The figures look great - and the two Black Cat Bases chicks look especially great! This reminds me of how much I need to paint my market stands as well... And the wallpaper turns out to be a really great choice for representing flagstones. A very impressive sight altogether. Lastly, about the close-ups on the buildings: I demand that Ziterdes foam buildings review NOW! | |

| He he he! I find it really funny that the "head stand" caught people's humour. It was great fun to come up with the concept. Thanks a lot for checking these out. Please let me know if you have any suggestions as I'm always looking for ways to improve what I do. As for the Ziterdes review, I will definitely try to have it done sooner than later. They are good models depending on what you want to achieve. Super resistant and sturdy - which I guess it's an advantage if you don't have much storage space and need to keep moving about your stuff - but complicated at times to paint (especially if you want to give it a realistic look to the house). Also, there is no interior (unless you do a massive conversion work), so the houses only function as outdoors scenery. But, for what I'm trying to achieve at the moment, they certainly do the trick! Yes, absolutely, the executioner must get some sort of commission out of that business! Close-ups to follow as soon as I get my hands on that camera again! Joao | |

| OK, one more update (although still in progress...): the potion shop. I used the GW Chapel for the purpose and did a few alterations (not a lot, as I'm still a beginner in these things). First of all, I got rid of all the skulls (34 in total!!) from the original model, plus most of the Sigmar and other symbols. After that, I added some green stuff to make the surfaces flat and included a few windows from Antenocities Workshop and balsa wood. Originally I wasn't going to leave the interiors accessible, but after seeing what these wizards had done with their chapel (link: https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t5002-pirates-hiiiaarrr-new-house-and-pictures), I just went for it and added wooden floors to both ground-floor and upper floor. As for the inside - and although they really don't match the outside ones - and following my girlfriend's brilliant idea, I covered the walls with sandpaper and then put windows on it. Worked well, I think. The paint job was not as daunting as I initially feared. Bubonic Brown on the walls, followed by a wash of Devlan Mud and then a highlight with patches of Bleached Bone. The roof was painted with Shadow Grey with highlights of Shadow Grey+Ice Blue. I still haven't finished the interiors or painted the potion sellers, so I'll need a Part II for that. I will post more pictures as I go. Hope you like it! Joao

| That is a pretty awesome looking piece of terrain! And made all the better by the interior, details such as those really turn a good looking battlefield into a great one. | |

| The chapel looks top-notch! Very well done! That sandpaper idea sounds excellent - in theory. I can't wait to see it painted. Does it bend from the wet paint I wonder...? | |

| Hey guys, thanks so much for the feedback (as usual)! Cianty, the sandpaper stays firm because it's glued to the walls. The reason why parts of it look slightly bent is because I didn't remove the "bumpy" sections on the inside which don't make the walls completely flat. Unfortunately I only remembered to place sandpaper when the walls were already glued... oh well, still not the end of the world. I will still recommend sandpaper as it looks great, doesn't bend and absorbs paint fairly well. Have a test and see how it goes! Joao | |

| Hi there, Well, I haven't been painting much lately - apart from one or two miniatures, but nothing substantial. That said, I got a few minutes today to test another wallpaper pattern to floor my board. Instead of the nice, even flagstone pattern (see photos on top of the thread), this time I went for a more irregular shape that would resemble gravel mixed with cobblestone. I basecoated this with scorched brown and then moved on with a combination of several patches of browns, yellows, greens and finally greys. A very strong point here is that I want this board to be modular not just for town scenery but also for wilderness and maybe for dungeons as well. Because it's so sunny today, the pictures don't show exactly how the floor looks like, so my apologies for that. Nevertheless, I would like to know your opinion, as I'm still to decide which pattern to go for in the end. Many thanks, Joao | |

| That looks pretty cool, I'd personally let grey dominate over the other colours, but that's nice. Theo | |
