| Your Arabians look great! Very characterful! You seem to have a gift when it comes to kitbashing and posing. Sad that the basecoating went wrong - what exactly happened? Is there no chance of fixing it? When it comes to the wagon, I don't think horses are the wrong way to go. In both the real world and the warhammer world, the Arabians were great horse handlers. | |

| Thanks for the input guys. In retrospect my camils are a bit overburdned for pulling the wagon too so I'll stick with the horses and cringe every time I see the saddles and lack of harness... once I build it that is @Folketsfiende. Thats high praise indeed, thank you. It was a new can and i started spraying directly on the mini insted of waiting untill the paint was flowing propperly, it's like the paint is mixed with really fine sand. It drinks any paint that I've tried to apply.. still I'm going to give it a go and see how it turns out. Meanwhile, I thought I'd put up some pics of a restless Dead warband I played a few games with. I really liked the flavour of his list and other posts on the forum made me think of them again. Here we go... brace yourself for some truely astounding photography skills with a camera phone... or not. The Leich Drackenhoff the Red [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] He needs more gs work on his cloak, a bone for the bottem of his staff and something for the top too. Lucious Maldorf the necromncer [img] [/img] Vanilla with some wep swaps. The Gravegurd Heros Kurgan the swordsmaster. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] He'll have a shield on this back, otherwise just wep swaps. The Barbarian King [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Wep swap with a shield and custom bone handel axe. Ishmael the headsman [img] [/img] Vanilla mini.. love this one tho. Heres the scarecrow type construct thingy [img] [/img] A Grave robber hired sword with extra blury pics. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] The shovel handel looks waaay too big, bit sad about that. Hes got the nights takings in his backpack... as you do. And some skelly henchmen. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] [img] [/img] And my fave ( shush... don't hell the others ) [img] [/img] [img] [/img] All unfinished as usual. | |

| Those are very cool. Drackenhoff is a very dynamic looking mini, and I can see why the skelly with the great axe is your (whispers) favorite. That is a very cool looking model. | |

| All the Living & the Not-Quite-Dead Guys look TERRIFIC...you've been BUSY. While they are all cool minis, the Grave Robber & the bottom Skeleton with the seriously large axe are my favorites. HAVE FUN PAINTING! | |

| Cheers fellas @Deafnala... actually most of these were done (? what? none of them are "done" lol ) well over a year ago. I used them as proxies for a marrienburg warband just for fun. Than I found the outstanding BTB suppliment and made a Restless dead list but only played a few games with them. I can't decide who to play with after our Lustria campaign ( 10 more games ) the dead fellas, or some chaos maurauders, shadow elves or dwarf warband... all assembled based and undercoated but not shown here.... I'm also tempted to play as Brets ( not using the official list.... perhaps Middenheim list )... Choices | |

| I very much like the Lich, Grave Robber and Scarecrow. Good job on those. The Ghoul King is a nice mini also, where is he from? | |

| Great axe skeleton is wonderful, the pose is really dynamic. I didn't know that skeletons could be that dynamic, but then I've met precious few in real life... I think the grave robber looks really nice, and I don't know about the handle being too big - it seems that everything in the warhammer miniature world is a bit too big in scale - I mean, look at the weapons, they're huge! In other words, the shovel is fitting nicely. | |

| A small update. I picked up some more... er.. threatening dogs on ebay. Old chaos hounds. For use in my Witch Hunters. I've tried to paint them like rottweilers. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] I'm quite fond of the cheeky chappies, they've more than paid for themselves. Teeth on the far left pooch leave a bit to be desired tho | |

| And another... these are part of my savage O+G warband I'm currently playing in lustria Squiglets [img] [/img] [img] [/img] .. no human centipede jokes please.. these guys get mad easily And a pit fighter, using a ... well you can see. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] Wep swap and a bit of converting to make a "spiked gauntlet". He's my first finecast, I wasn't totally impressed with the cast quality but they are easy to clean up and chop into... also seem to take paint quite nicely ( might be my immagination tho ) | |

| Thanks luckyjoe. I forgot to respond to the earlier comments, sorry guys @Grimskull Thanks fella. I think that one is an old GW citadel mini, I tried to look him up on SOL but couldn't find him, he's glued onto the base so not surewhat it says on the tab. Sorry. @Zartes. The midget is also an old GW dwarf, I think there is a link to th SOL page that shows him on page 1 in this thread. I picked him up on ebay( as I do most of my minis ) @Folketsfiende. Thanks for the kind words. I had fun making the greataxe skelly, I just wanted to get a bit of variety out of the GW skellys. In respect to the grave digger, he's on the back burner for a bit as I need to find a spade/shovel head type thing more to come with the savage ork and goblins... if I can get some better pics. | |

I had to retire them a few months ago sadly. captain Barack the cruel ( called Barack the stupid behind his back after his second game) and his treasure hunting crew . | |

| That is a VERY COOL LOOKING Crew & a GREAT LOOKING gaming table. Too bad the Lads had to retire...it seems that the better the minis look the worse their luck runs. GREAT WORK nonetheless! | |

| Aarrgghh! Thanks Deaf Nala. The gaming table is not mine. It belongs to Mason on LAF. An awesome table to play on. I think you might be right. All my warbands die before I finish painting them. | |

| I was pretty sure that was Mason's table...Paul is a FINE Fellow & a GREAT Terrain maker. You're in with a nice group of gamers. CONGRATS! My own War Bands get finished & either wind up in some other Guy's collection or languish unused...dead & almost finished sounds like a step up to moi. | |

| Thanks Deaf Nala. They were quite fun to play with actually. Tho I did find it hard helping track of what was going on animosity wise with such a big warband. I'm playing witch hunters with Paul and Rob (tho strange aeons has invaded my hobby and taken over.. Happily) and playing the restless dead with my own group of lads.. Should try and paint some of those I guess. Lol | |

| The Restless Dead sound like a FINE next project. AND I must admit enjoying the Strange Aeons action on L.A.F...having several games going at once keeps everything fresh & interesting or so I've been led to believe. Whatever you chose to post, you can count on at least one enthusiastic response. | |
