In the rules of the fighting claws and weeping blades it states:
- Quote :
- Pair: Fighting Claws are traditionally used in pairs,
one in each hand. A warrior armed with Fighting
Claws gets an additional attack.
(weeping blades with the identical text except the name of the weapon is switched).
How is this meant? Is this +1 Attacks the same as getting another attack because the model uses an additional handweapon or gives it +2 attacks (+ 1 for the second handweapon and +1 for the fc/wb)?
Example: A Black Skaven with A1 in his profile is equipped with fc/wb. does he get 2 attacks or 3?
- Quote :
- art of silent death
The Skaven has patiently mastered the deadly art of
open-hand fighting, as taught by the mystics of Cathay in
the temples of the far East. In hand-to-hand combat, the
Skaven can fight with his bare paws without any
penalties and counts as having two weapons (ie, +1
attack). In addition, a Skaven Hero with this skill will
cause a critical hit on a To Wound roll of 5-6 instead of
just 6. This skill may be used in conjunction with the
Eshin Fighting Claws (+2 Attacks instead of +1).
So this would suggest that in the example above he gets 3 attacks, but I remember people arguing the +1 is due to the additional handweapon only....
I thought this had been discussed before, but I could not find anything using the search function. So I bring it up.
BTW: For those who are using the -1 penalty for multiple weapons: Would you apply the -1 penalty for fc/wb too or treat them as an exception as they are "used in pairs"?
