| I found this forum when i was looking for terrain ideas about a year and a half ago, and joined a few months after. and have FINALLY got some pictures today(dont mind the backfround, it was lightest in the kitchen) so yeah... first up my bookshop/coffeeshop(read borders/starbucks ) this is being painted as a test, its come out ok(i think) some modular barracades, i thought having them like that would make for more possibilities some walkways. I do have more of these, but they arn't painted a bookcase for the bookshop a statue Now some of my older buildings these need some more realistic ruining on the planks, and some other things This building was made by me and my brother, about a year ago this one needs better wreckage on the planks too a warehousething (I'm starting to paint this) The inn, this ones rather new. Still needs more stuff like tables, chairs and such (there was more pictures, but most of them were terrible) one of the newest, based off a picture my brother drew we[strike] I tried to make the roof as playable as possible after playing lots of assassins creed brotherhood. but the roof was at to much of an angle, so i made some roof tiles loose so people could stand on the roof and a wip building WOW, that took forever, anyway what do you think? C%C welcome EDIT: just saw how bad the pictures are | |

| The photos aren't great, but they are good enough to see everything necessary. And I got to say I like the buildings. I wouldn't bother with tables, chairs and the like for now but instead get the buildings all painted up. If they turn out the way your starbucks did, you have some really nice terrain. All it needs later is another surface to play on and you have everything necessary. | |

| I'll bet that did take forever to post...it would have taken me 1/2 again forever. The quality of the photos is fine; don't beat yourself up about it. Having that same little rogue in all the pictures gave the effect of being given a tour by one of the locals.. .COOL IDEA. You've done some VERY NICE pieces that are going to look SPECTACULAR once painted up. The woodwork on the Inn is really EXCEPTIONALLY WELL DONE...I LOVE the railing. GREAT STUFF! | |

| YET ANOTHER promising piece... LOOKS GOOD! - Jacko' lantern wrote:

That is an EXCELLENT idea. If you put the entire Beasty together & then start paining, you will invariable find a spot or two you just can't get at...I've wound up cutting extra areas of damage so as to have an access port for the paint brush to slip inside.

Your wish is my command! (metaphorically ) Unfortunately I only just finished nearly all of the painting just before all natural light went, so I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow. I've made the next layer, just got to do the details and sand

| U haz done well! All your buildings painted like that is going to look great. What are those white and red squares on the floor? (The blue ones are tiles, I know) And what do you spray your buildings with before you paint them? | |

| Thanks The red and White squares are floor tiles, I'd added the sand then remembered that I was going to tile the floor. So I added some tiles and left gaps to make it look like some were stolen I just use citadel chaos black, with watered down ova on the exposed foam | |

| VERY, VERY WELL DONE! After long years of practice, I'm pleased when I produce pieces of equivalent quality; what you will be making fifty years from now boggles the mind...such as it is. | |

| What is ova? Do I understand right, that you put it on the foam so the spray-basecoat woun't melt it? Just curious, cause I have some foamlike barricades here (made by Ziterdes) and I'm sure it would speed up things a lot if I could spray-basecoat them. | |

| VERY COOL LOOKING! The bowed roof & all the interesting angles give the building a lot of appeal for moi... VERY Mordheimy i9n character. The woodwork & all the little details are GREAT...it's one of those pieces that will always yield something new with each viewing. FINE WORK! | |

| Nice work on the house. The construction detailing and painting is topnotch.
I would offer the suggestion that you emphasize the burned areas with your dark color and add more of the cream and ochre colors to the areas farthest from the flames. Adding soot above the windows would add to the effect.

| VERY COOL! The blackened areas really should only be added if the building's damage was caused by a fire...a blast effect would leave the building as you have painted yours. AND it looks GREAT as it is. VERY WELL DONE! If the first building is any indication, the Tower will look TERRIFIC once completed. The rickety catwalk is a FINE little piece. | |
