| Edward is correct. The Tilean heroes receive +1 to hit with crossbows, while Tilean marksmen receive +1 to hit with all missile weapons. Neither receive +1 BS. In contrast, Reiklander marksmen receive +1 BS.
The +1 to hit adjustment is theoretically better than +1 BS: the adjustment that Reiklander marksmen receive shoves them one step closer to human max (6), which the +1 to hit does not. The difference doesn't matter unless a marksman is promoted through The Lad's Got Talent, since henchmen cannot receive more than one bump to their BS.

| @edward Miragleans are Tileans from... now that I think about it, they never state the name of the actual city-state. Miraglea perhaps?
Miragleans are to Tileans as Reiklanders are to Mercenaries.
+1 to hit it is. | |

| Yeah. Never seen any Tileans in Mordheim..
Another crazy thing was that the captains have 2 attacks on their profile. Typo?

| The Tileans and other warbands created for the Cities of Gold/Lustria setting are overpowered when compared to Mordheim warbands; some groups don't allow them for this reason. | |

| Probably. There is no real disadvantage to counter that increase... I agree: Tileans are awesome. I am currently polishing off a Tilean band from Verezzo (one of the lesser known Tilean city-states) and I am quite enjoying it. | |

| That could make some very cool or very silly conversions. Massive mousetraps? Swords with blocks of cheese on them? Warband members with little cages with rats in them (check out that caged snotling from the new dwarf miners sprue)? There are a lot of possibilities! | |

| Miragliano is where they come from. Remeans come from Remas.
If you fancy a really decent Tilean yarn then read Brunner the Bounty Hunter!

The Tileans are just humans. Even with the dubious 2 attack leader they suffer from all of the Mercenaries usual woes versus any of the core warbands if used in the city of Mordheim. I can't remember if we used the 2 attacks or treated it as a typo. We've used them mainly in Lustria, but they have traveled to Sartosa and Mordheim as well.

Actually, I think human mercs are very competitive, but the point I was making is that the City of Gold bands are generally stronger than the Mordheim warbands, an issue if you are trying to create a balanced competitive campaign. I think the Miralgleans (CoG Reiklanders) illustrate this point nicely:
Reiklanders: Marksmen receive +1 BS Miragleans: Marksment receive +1 to hit with all missile levels Comparison: slightly in favor of the Tileans - for those marksmen not promoted, there is no difference; for a promoted marksmen hero, the Tilean is better - both can reach BS 6, but the Tilean is BS 6 and +1 to hit.
Reiklanders: Captain's leadership range is doubled. Miragleans: all heroes receive +1 with crossbows. Comparison: the Miragleans come off much better here. The Reiklander captain's ability doesn't even come up in most games, but a +1 with crossbow is a very big bump to heroes (once you spring for the crossbows), and is of particular benefit to youngbloods. It is an advantage which means extra kills, which means extra experience.
Also, the Tileans have a better selection of weapons than the Mordheim human mercs (they can have pikes, rapiers, and - for the marksmen - duelling pistols, all of which more than compensates for the fact that they can't take blunderbusses).
