Question: Does the tentacle mutation prevent the use of a weapon when used to grapple an opponent just like the giant claw ?
As worded this mutation does not disallow the use of a weapon shield, 2-handed, etc. For the cost of 35, i think it is on par with giant claw and scorpion tail. Ok maybe slightly less powerful that the tail! But granted, it is good against powerful combat monsters.
But the spirit of the mutation tells me that if you use it to grapple, you cannot at the same time attack with it. This is how it was interpreted by the leader of the games I play. Unfortunately this is a real bummer b/c I bought one and it's pretty useless if both me and my opponent loose an attack, what is the point?
So I am torn, game play vs. common sense. Game play usually wins these arguments. How does everyone else use this mutation?
