| Greetings, After months and months of mouthwatering over all the beautifull scenery, models and fluff on this marvellous forum I decided to join in on the madness. I'm a warhammer fantasy player who's still a little green around the ears (playing since august 2009) and wielding a +- 4000 pts warriors of chaos army (80 % painted, must me done this summer ! NO new army before the old is painted. Except maybe a warband ) The protagonist in my chaos-fluff, Juan Carlos Volanté (slaanesh lord) hails from Estalia, after being captured for murder, he is freed by an entity(deamonprince) called the Crimson King known in other times as: Diego Zaratostra, Vincent "le fou" Dockx or Martìn Rommel. Being in debt with the Crimson King, Volanté promises to travel north.....Unite the tribes of the great Calla-plains and to build an army under the watchfull eye of the Crimson King...... Hundreds of years earlier... The Grand Theogonist in his quest against heretics and vile chaos worshippers starts recruiting men from the south. These "inquisitore's" are then coupled with warrior priests (born in the empire!) and sent of to the dark streets of Mordheim. Presenting (still in w.i.p) : L'inquisitore de Torquemada. Tòmas de Torquemada - El capitano. Vincent Dockx - witchhunter. (claims to be raised in Bordelaux) Bernardo Siu - witchhunter, drunk, barfighter and allround nice guy Omar Rodrigo Volanté - witchhunter * To be done : backpacks, side packing, blankets etc. These dudes come from the south....they travel Vincent is getting a side arm(gun), and carries a crossbow (wich will mask some of the dodgy greenstuffing) Roberto will have some winebottle's (no beer...he's Estalian ) Omar will get a proper "van helsen" cloak. (moldlines will be taken care of btw) The priest is an avatars of war model (love that company) no conversions to show the different background. Dogs are the mastiff's from warlord games (great sculpts) Flagelants are in the "thinking fase" Comments, ideas, criticism, etc. are very much welcomed ! Greetings. Gert G. - El Mastodon. To be continued... | |

| Welcome aboard! Nice green stuff work. I'm not good enough at it to offer any tips, although I do remember one member said the way he did buckles was to make a quick cast of one and then glue them on as needed.
Tòmas de Torquemada--love it!

He was a spanish inquisitor general at the end of the 14th century .Check Wikipedia the real world was/is even more f***ed up than in fantasy games. - Quote :

Dendermonde Between Brussels en Ghent, I went to school in Ghent SUPERSTAD !! (fantastic city, for our non-dutch speakers.) About the warband : Update with pics coming soon, the witchhunters are almost done (sculpting that is ) Flagellants.....I like the GW models...except the heads....so i checked google images for real world reference. Apparently these crazy dudes wear robes AND a hood !. Tadaa......problem solved The only vissible part is the whipped and bloody backside of the flaggellant (The internets, once again a great source of inspiration.........and theft !) So, cut away the back of the model; sculpt tortured, muscled back; sculpt robe and hood....paint, done. Expect a w.i.p model.... soonNOW. I like it ! Gonna do the hoods a bit more kkk-style (fits these cazy religious types perfectly) Finish the robes and ad the flail, books, symbols, etc... Greets.

| Looking very nice. I always enjoy seeing what people come up with for witch hunters. The stock models are fine, but seeing people's conversions is oh so much more fun. | |

| Great work with green stuff! I really dig how you have made such "simple" conversions look so big in the end. Now when will we see these figs painted? Seeing that flagellant first brought this into my mind. Also, you couldn't have chosen any better name for the daemon prince: "In the court of the Crimson Kiiiiiiing" | |

My flagellant reminds you of pulp fiction ?! HUGE compliment or were you refering to the rape scene Then again you know King Crimson which means you rate higher than average on the foodchain... and you sir can say no wrong The Crimson King from the Dark Tower (Stephen King) novels is also a huge influence. One day I'm making a deamonprince like the king in the comic series. * Update. 3 witchhunters are ready for the spraybooth ! Roberto Giu, killed a beastmen hero today in my very first Mordheim game (2 battle's, 1 won - 1 loss) Tòmas de Torquemada, 3 turns of pistolfire from the 1st floor on my opponent his dogs....0 kills Vincent Dockx. Omar and the flagellants aren't ready yet... expect painting to start somewhere next week. Thanks a lot for the tips, criticism and comments.

Sorry, can't help it! I hadn't heard of those books nor comics, but reading description of Crimson King from wikipedia and checking out some images made it all clear. I think you really should make that daemon prince! And about music; Your avatar revealed you. Anyone who digs Hendrix is likely to know some other great musicians and bands that I listen too. Back to topic, finally. Your skills with gs are enviable. All those bits and bobs really make these guys look like they mean business. I've always thought that it's odd that the figures don't carry anymore with them than just their weapons. One would think that at least some empty bags or backpacks might be handy when collecting wyrdstone and other loot. Very nice job on these figures anyway.

Clay shapers are the lifeblood of any sculptor. They make life so much easier. I keep forgetting to go out and get more. Mine are really big, hehe.
