When I studied I lived with a guy in my dorm who were into stuff like that ...he had picked up that trick of knowing which day of the week any day is ...I guess its basically just knowing how the calender year shifts every year and then adding or subtracting a bit for each leap-year ...but damn he is quick with his calculations ...
Actually after I moved to another dorm ...there were a girl who if you said a sentence she could kind of "see" the words how they would be written ...and then just turn them around ...and read them out loud "backwards" ...so you could give her any smaller sentence like ..."I want to have a beer since I only already had 15"...and 10 seconds later she could pronounce the sentence backwards ...a cool if a bit odd partytrick
