So, I have been working on a pretty big new campaign setting. It differs so much from Mordheim that it should be considered an all new game, even, with mixed rules from Mordheim, Necromunda and also Gorkamorka.
Anyway...

I have written... well nearly 50 pages as it is, with no fluff and, and heres my qualm, no graphics!

You see, I'd really like to get some hints or pointers on how to best add some graphics to the text, before converting it to PDF. Y'know, just like the real rulebooks, with borders, pics and all kinds of nice stuff Smile
I am not an amateur when it comes to most software, though I do not have most programs people generally use, like Photoshop or similar.

Can anyone give me some pointers here? I would be ever grateful Smile

I think you should really talk to Ezekiel about this. He has made some pages, and the graphics just look awesome, so I guess he knows what to do Wink

If you're using MS Word just use the import feature. The main problem it might screw with your formatting, and also really inflate the file size of the document if you don't make sure the picture is a manageable size before importing it.

I use word now, but I have always found that word is a really sh*tty program, and often it just spas' out for no appearent reason at all Razz

I will see how the normal import feature will work, but I was hoping to avoid it.

For page layout there is a free open source software called Scribus.

Scribus Download Page

For vector graphics, I'd sugest Inkscape another open source software

Inscape Download PAge

Gimp is a free bitmap editor, similar to Photoshop;

GIMP

Hope these are of use to you.
