Question Re: Crossbow Pistols

If you have a brace of crossbow pistols, is it possible to fire two shots in the first round of close combat, similar to the two attacks with a brace of regular pistols, or is a brace only useful for firing two shots at range using the pistolier skill?

Is there even option to use brace of crossbow pistols anyway? It is the first time I here about it. True, that in our group are cp not in use, so I had no chance to come across such question.
But since there is no option to buy it as a brace of pistols... hmm..

Aldchick: I thought at first that it wasn't possible, but it seems to be the consensus that you can indeed purchase a brace of c-pistols. It is never explicitly stated in the rulebook, but a number of FAQs and Errata seem to mention one. I guess it only really matters if you want to equip your warrior with another missile weapon, since a brace only takes up one slot.
