| I forgot to ask, where are those skeletons and other figures from? I really like the look of them. | |

How long did it take you to learn how to do terrain like this? The barricades and obstacles were very quick, as most of the scenic elements are resin bits. Cut a base, sand it, put some bits on it, glue some sand to it, paint it, put some grass on it. - DeafNala wrote:
- Since it's been awhile since your last update, I wandered through your earlier posts to refresh my memory as to what preceded your latest additions...VERY COOL STUFF! The barricades will fit in WONDERFULLY with your existing pieces. The Broken columns & the tall grass are favorites with moi. The colors you use on your ground work are EXCELLENT. VERY WELL DONE!
Cheers I'm really happy with all of it, and now that I've done these, itching to get it all set up to look at it together. - HornedRat wrote:
- I really like the window treatments on the first two (Red / Blue) buildings. They have a Greek / Roman feel to them. It adds a very nice pieces of architecture to the buildings. How did you create them? Card?
I also really like the rune on the temple floor. Did you build that from scratch? Awesome details. The ruined buildings are slipcast ceramic from Thomarillion. The cthulhu glyph on the floor was a one-off cast from Fenris Games. - Based off this figure - HornedRat wrote:

The skeletons are from Otherworld. His stuff is a bit pricey, but excellent quality. I got them as a gift As far as the other figures go.. do you mean the swordsmen in these latest shots? They are Spanish Rodoleros from The Assault Group's renaissance range. Thanks for the comments all. I still have a pile of Osgiliath ruins to do, and then a cemetary, but I'm nearing the end of my city building madness finally. Onward to mayhem! | |

| Some new updates to the Mordheim collection- courtesy of The Lord of the Rings First I did the two little ruined corners, back in November: Then I just finished these two bigger wall sections over New Years: The 'Ruins of Osgiliath' sets are pretty nice, paint up fast, and are nice and sturdy. They take a bit of work to get the mould lines off and get assembled, but not too bad considering how good they look with minimal effort, and how useful they'll be in Mordheim. Happy New Year! | |

| I have finally finished the last of the Osgiliath set! I took the remaining piece from each of the two boxes and hacked them up a little to fit on top of each other. Now instead of a pair of two story buildings I have a single 3 story ruined gallery that I'm really happy with. Surrounding rubble pieces are from Fenris Games as usual. I also made a few ladders, made to be modular for use on any of my ruins: | |

| I knocked this little ruined tower out this weekend: I didn't spend as much time on it as I did on the nicer LotR pieces. I just wanted to get it done, so its a little more bish bosh than some of my other stuff. I don't mind. I think the layout will be quite useful in Mordheim, especially as a middle of the table sort of objective. :-) Its the most recent ruined tower kit from GW. Not amazing, but serviceable. I found one for a fair price, and a ruined keep is a nice bit to have on hand I reckon. I had originally planned to carve out all the skulls and resculpt in some bricks or something, but when it came down to it, I couldn't be bothered for the sake of this piece. Its fine for what it is, but not worth much effort to improve it. Basically I could buy it for less than my effort and time would be to build my own ruined, multi level, tower with interior access. | |

| Really cool pieces and paintjobs! I have to say that I can't decide whether the Cthulhu temple or the foul fountain are my favourite | |
