Achieving a Wet Mud Effect

Hey, guys. Has anybody got some tips on how to get a good looking mud effect? We're talking sloppy, well trampled mud that'll suck your boots off if you aren't careful.

I figured it might involve mixing gloss varnish with paint, maybe? Or getting PVA just right?

Any advice you could share would be a great help. Thanks.

Get you some sand from a playground or whatever and alittle white glue along with some cheap craft brown paint. Mix them together and BAM some super wet gooey mud that will take a few hours to dry.
