| Well Reikland is the off the bat answer than, Marienburg, Ostland, Averland or Kislev might work too. You could do a Skaven band that spams slings, but you might not be very popular ... | |

| Reikland. Hurm. Ok. Armed with what? Just Long Bows?
Also why would the Skaven Sling spam be bad? Is it just ultra beardy?

Also why would the Skaven Sling spam be bad? Is it just ultra beardy? Well if your avoiding beardiness I'd go with either Bows, Long Bows or Crossbows, mix them up and have abit of variety. Some handguns if your feeling adventurous or your groups into some house ruling (Strength 5 or +1 to injury rolls maybe?). Heck, get a Hunting Rifle if you ever can, you'll be the snipiest than Even Blunderbusses I hear can be pretty good (though make sure to have your guys armed with a good melee weapon). Perhaps go for some spears for those who can, allowing them to receive charges towards your archers. Edit: Going on alittle tangent because I've only heard of the sling abuse second hand, how many slings is to many? A Skaven warband of 10 I wrote up has 6.

| Reikland's really not too beardy in any respect, and they're the shootiest of the "core" warbands.
However, how strict is your group's interpretation of "official" ? You mentioned that you're playing beastmen, so you guys must be allowing warbands outside of the main rulebook. Since that's the case, Shadow Elves are the obvious choice, but Stirland bandits are fairly shooty as well. Dark elves are also shooters, of course.
Furthermore, basically any mercenary warband other than Middenheimers can get away with being shooters, it's just that the Reiklander marksmen are a tad better off. Miraglians from the Tilian mercenary list are shooty as well, provided you're going to arm them with crossbows.

| yeah i have a friend in my group who plays shadow warriors, and while i find it a little cheesy (or is it beardy now?) he does manage to work them with great effect. of course he's yet to lose anyone cept a ranger to injury tables and his warband consists of a grand total of 6 guys (all heroes and a ranger) and he still manages to win all of his games. of course the T4 W2 lucky charms heavy armor and holy water on everyone in his warband might have something to do with that... i really need to get to work killing that guy but my vamp only has W2 and i can't seem to roll that 13 to get a unholy poncho (fricken holy water QQ) | |

| Orcs & Goblins is the answer to every question you can think up (or "42"). Maybe not shootiest around, but heck, you can always substitude that with attitude. Quite big toughness, they can buy bows and crossbows. Gobbos can buy short bows and you can get a lot of those in the warband. I mainly just use them as fodder. If the enemies won't kill them, my orcs will. | |

| @ Myn: I am tryig to fnd out how strict we are going be on Official lists. I already have some fantastic ides for those elf models, so I can get around havign to play Elves. @Dedgob: Yaeh we have like 3 orc/gobo players already. I was thinking of that too, but I dont wanna have too much of one army i the campaign since this will be my 2nd | |

| A lot of beardyness gets taken out of any warband if you play with a proper table. A good table setup should not have huge firing lanes. Fill the table with terrain. A creative model should be able to cross the entire table without ever exposing itself. Which will be a relief to the young ladies. | |

| Lol. Yeah we have a pretty terrrain heavy table, with a ton of levels. I really want to do those Shadow Warriors now that I keep rading about them. I think I might make a case for playing them in the campaign. I just want to make Ninja Models. xD | |
