They are both painted for friends of mine (besides me, there's only one other guy in our group that paints his own models). Thanks for posting the Old Girl & her Vertically Challenged Friend...both VERY niceyly painted. I can identify; i.e., almost ALL the minis I do are either destined to be sold or given away with exception of my Goblins...they're JUST TOO STRANGE for most folks, which is why I relate to them. In my AD&D days...ALL 29 years of them...I was the ONLY painter. You'd be surprise how many minis 20 years worth of painting can produce. Here's another Witchy Woman from Reaper: painted by Jennifer Haley
| 02869: Elise, The Witch ($5.49) Werner Klocke A bit more of a Babe than GW's, but I bet EVEN she was a hot number in her time...maybe. |

And it really is a nice model! I have one also...old Werner Klocke makes some GREAT LOOKING Babes. I wasn't certain what I was going to do with her...other than drool that is . Then I got a pack of Jack O'Lanterns that matched up REALLY WELL. A pack of Halloween Familiars was then released & purchased. NOW it's turning into a BLEEDING Witchy War Band. Do you have this "getting carried away with things" problem too or is it JUST moi?

SMS gets worse when combined with Imminent Senility. I spot the OH SO COOL mini &, foregoing food, buy it ONLY then to discover it was the same OH SO COOL mini I saw on the last visit to the local Addiction Center. It seems like I have multiples of EVERYTHING. The only cure for SMS is Extreme Poverty...works for moi.

| If you have doubles of cool models, I am sure we can help you there. Several of the mordheimers including myself would be interrested Ithink. That is what we have the marketplace for. Either sell or swap for other minis. | |

I mean, fantasywarriors in G-string decorated armour and push ups to ther chins are just off putting. Not all fantasy females are Babes, Hassle Free among others has some tough-as-nails, robust Lasses, but still females. These are the Babes I'm currently working on:
SEXY, huh?! This is true, though the "babes" are highly overrepresented – and party pooper as I may seem, this is not without problem. I mean, the men in fantasy are also filled with problems; strong, musclemen with low wits, only hungering for for war and violence, never breaking a tear. I think it's worth to ponder, and I can't help to question stereotypes; always finding the complex characters and persons more interesting. I wish fantasy wasn't limited to all these dull stereotypes (even though some look awesome). I mean, have you ever seen a mongoloid for example in a fantasy universe? I mean, there is mainly white men (such as I ). Sorry if I went a bit of topic... it just really interests me, even though you have posted some really neat female models here. - Gobbo Freak wrote:

You know, that's what I'm getting at. Finding 35 mm models sexy, and even having the intention to make them sexy just plain doesn't work for me. I mean, you might have been ironic, it still is just really tasteless IMHO.

| It is the nature of Art to present an idealize image of the subject. I believe you'll find this true from Ancient Greek, Egyptian, & Roman statuary through the Renaissance artists right up to & including Modern Fantasy artists. Even "realistic" images tend to an idealistic/stereotypical view. From my perspective, all natural creatures have a loveliness about them. They are, as my Grandfather would have put it, "something the Lord has made." As such, I find none of them to be tasteless. I could place that label on the Daemonic imagery that GW & other Fantasy folk seem so fond of, however. I find my three little Witches to be lovely not because they are physically attractive but rather because, while being stereotypical of their genre, they have a charming quality to them. The purpose of this thread is, I believe, to present female miniatures that the Guy or Gal posting finds attractive/interesting/just plain cool with the view that someone else might have a similar opinion & be unaware of that mini's existence. SO...if you think it's attractive/interesting/just plain cool, post it. | |

We've agreed to disagree...without being disagreeable. A critique on the artistic merits of a mini is a valid post, as is a defense of the artistry involved, but a prolonged discussion would be better served with a thread of it's own...that might be fun. There are some "flat" minis that actually enter the realm of blatant pornography...some that even as rabid an artistic freedom freak as moi would find difficult to defend. I'm relieved none have been posted here...I wouldn't want to send you screaming into the night with an extreme case of the Deep Purple Horrors.

| I just love this thread and seeing all these mini's. It's fantastic to discover mini's I've never seen (I think a lot of your mini's don't really end up in the shops on this end of the ocean. Things are getting better with the internet shops though.) (3 out of 4 shops in my home town did close, and the last one left only stocks GW ... not much for me to find there ...) I love it even better when the mini's are painted by hobby-ists, and not by the "housepainters" of the companies. All discussions posted on this thread here were a thrill to read, so just keep them coming. As for the pornography part ... maybe I should reconsider my words, but what the heck. First of all, why is porn so wide spread ? I suppose because lots of people take some kind of interest one way or another. It's not something that gets discussed much with my friends, but I think most of the people I know have watched at least a part of a pornmovie some time in their life. Secondly, I've never seen a mini that disgusted or offended me. But hey, everybody has its standards.(although some Nurgle ones came close ;-) I used to buy comic books, and I must say, some of them (like the Druuna chronicles by Serpieri ; Morbis Gravis) actually made me blush once in a while. But being offended ... nah, takes more than that. But I can understand that other people draw the line sooner than I do. But that's freedom of choice I guess. The Eastern influences on mini's is less my style, but I must admit that there are some wonderful pieces been posted. (see the ones from Lanyssa above) As for the Deep Purple Horrors ; that was only after Gillan and Coverdale went their own ways ... | |

| It seems the harder the mini is to come by the more allure it has...rating a higher "kill for" score. Are you looking for actual Rackham Dirz or minis that would look the part? Now if you were looking for an attractive, alluring surogate Elven Ranger, this Reaper might do the trick: painted by Marike Reimer I wonder what the Elven term for " OH BABY" is. | |

| lol ! don't think I have seen an elf with a hairdo that suits a Miss selection ! cool mini though my wife says I oughta keep my eyes permanently shut and not be looking at all actually, I just think my son will be wanting more Dirz once he starts Hybrid but with rackham selling out, I fear the mini's will be harder and/or more expensive to get ah, who am I fooling ? it's just an addiction that I can't overcome (drooling over mini's and wanting to have them, collect them, treasure them, take them up in my will for my kids .... aaaargh !!!) | |

I hadn't thought of that...there are LOTS of thingys I don't think about, but, now that you mention it, she would make a cool Kislev Ranger. With some ear surgery [her ears are hidden...thankfully], there are quite afew Elves that could have alternate roles. GOOD THINKING, Amigo!
