Just came up with an idea for a new skill: body slam. Tell me what you think.

Combat skill: body slam.

Whenever a model with this skill makes a diving charge, he may choose to body slam instead of attacking normally. When body slamming, the charging model is considered to automaticly fail its initiative test for the diving charge, but will inflict a single hit on the target at the same strength as its toughness.
In addition, the target must pass an initiative test or be knocked down in addition to other effects

I demand my due royalties for this idea, due to it springing from my off-hand comment about never having seen an ogre dive-charging!

Despite me usually getting a severe rash just from the though of house rules, I like this. Even though I see through your thinly veiled attempts to offset the puny strength of those orc big 'uns Laughing

This would make a better house rule than a skill. Any model may do so, they just take damage as well, but automatically hits the enemy... i like!

couldn't you make it so the target takes the same damage as the guy falling.

kind of a suicide bomb, have a gobbo jump off a roof and land on a hero,
both take however many hits...................

now I have an idea for a goblin with a brimstone bauble jumping off a cliff hitting a grail knight in my head....hehe

They have skill with the same name, but it's not the same:

Quote :
Body Slam: Instead of making a normal charge, the Pit Fighter may attempt to slam his opponent to the ground, he burrows his shoulder deep into his opponent’s stomach. Instead of making his normal attacks the Pit fighter may make a single attack resolved as following: +1Str, +1 to Hit, no weapon bonuses or abilities. Critical hit on a 5+.

I believe there is a rule in Necromunda for this also. Check it out and see if it applies.
