The Lad's Got Talent + Special Skill Lists

Do "Special Skill" lists count towards a Talented Lad's total 2 skill lists to chose from...

The reason I ask this is the wording at the top of the dwarves special skills list there is a single sentence that has some strong conotations.

Firstly...

The Lad's got Talent

Quote :

One model in the group becomes a Hero. If you already have the maximum number of Heroes, roll again. The new Hero remains the same Henchman type (eg, a Ghoul stays as a Ghoul) and starts with the same experience the Henchman had, with all his characteristic increases intact. You may choose two skill lists available to Heroes in your warband. These are the skill types your new Hero can choose from when he gains new skills. He can immediately make one roll on the Heroes Advance table. The remaining members of the Henchmen group, if any, roll again for the advance that they have earned, re-rolling any results of 10-12.

Then, The Dwarf Special Skills has;

Quote :

Dwarf Heroes may use the following Skill table instead of any of the standard Skill tables available to them.

To me, this implies, the Lad that has Talent can go and chose two normal skill tables (Combat and Shooting) and then he "may use" the dwarf special skills set "instead of any of the standard skill tables available" to him.

What do you guys think?

We have always played that you may pick 2 skill tables, and if one of them happens to be a special that's fine – as long as your model is the appropriate warband type...
