So, one of our players, to the shame of us all, left his double-set of the original buildings (including double-set Blood on the Streets expanion buildings) in a open carboard box in his garage during our two-year hiatus from Mordheim. We chided him well, until we saw the wonderfully-atmospheric full-dust coating on the buildings. Our imaginitive minds all immediately thought, "That's what buildings would look like after a Wyrdstone-ash storm!" So we counseled him not to clean the buildings. After all, who ever saw spic-and-span ruins before some archaeologist got to them?
Yet our preservationist thoughts are kicking in, and I'm not sure how to go about this. Has anyone else ever used powdered dirt/dust and a fixitave to add grime to their buildings? Would a light spray of Krylon acrylic be a good idea on these dusty buildings, or would it turn the ash to muck?
If no-one else has tried a way to preserve such dust before, we'll pick a guinea pig building, do so, and post the results.
