Imperial Seaport by Wolfgang Jädtke

I'm sure you all know Wolfgang of Mordheim table fame. He recently decided to build a new Imperial gaming board (see also the WIP thread at the Gidian-Gelände Forum) and he allowed me to present it here for him. I would like to also add that, since he now has a new board, he gave his old one to me at the 2009 Tactica. Yes, he's an awesome guy.

If you have ever browsed through the Inspiration thread on this board, then you will know that the concept art for the Warhammer Online RPG is a huge inspiration for building terrain and scenery. They also have been an inspiration for Wolfgang's latest project...

Such is the stuff that dreams are made of. That is INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! The models ARE actually FAR better than the concept art. Mere words can not do justice to craftsmanship of this quality. I LOVE the waves. VERY IMPRESSIVE!

Anyway, this town is incredible, too, and I wish I had one at my place. What a talented guy.

Oh, it was "just" his Imperial village table, not the Mordheim board

I had to mention it since he made this one to replace his old one.

I think I should send him the number of my mobile phone so he can call me if he ever wants to build a new Mordheim table and needs some space.

Wolfgang is simply amazing. His stuff is all so inspiring. I don't know how he does it. How long does something like this take him?

I think it took Wolfgang about 2 months to build this (judging from his posts), but I'm not 100% sure.. only 98%...

Well, my flat is pretty small so it would get crowded if we're 4+ people... And the village board is only half as I have to rebuild the board of the other half (not the buildings though), and I was actually preparing to host you guys next year in Berlin and and and...
