Play Mordheim Online- This could be of interest

I thought that was very interesting at a glance. Sure, it ignores many aspects of the game, such as painting and terrain making, but it could be handy for testing out rules or just messing around. Either way, it looks like a lot of thought went into it even if it never took off, so so I thought I would bring it up.

I've given it a try, and my first impression was a bit disappointing. My friend and I quickly abandoned MS Paint for GIMP/Photoshop due to the advantages of separate layers and a pixel measuring tool. However, even with GIMP it was so time consuming that we both lost quite a lot of interest. Recently we found an engine for playing board games online called VASSAL, and it appears that someone has even made a module for Mordheim using the VASSAL program some time ago. I have yet to try it.

I tried something similar with Warhammer Fantasy, but it really isn't as intense or fun as the real Mordheim Table Top game.

Friend and I used VASSAL to test play Hordes (which we will be getting into soon)
The problem with it is there is no vertical element (that I could see). Takes a lot of fun out of it IMO. I guess you could fake it...
